Pre and Post-Workout and Pre Bed

i have been using dextose for pre and post workout, i have been readng about waxy maze starch and considering of trying it

what you guys prefer dextrose]malt or wms ?

also i just have casein for bed, but thinking about have sum healthy fats like sunflower seeds for more calores but or to try and up t level!

what do some of you have pre bed?

WMS hasn’t been shown to be any more effective PWO than dextrose and or maltodextrin.

Do a Google search for Will Brink’s article on this.

He shows how the companies that have been selling WMS have been misrepresenting it as an idea PWO carb.

Btw, I’ve switched to having my peri-workout carbs before and during training, as opposed to after, as recommended by Christian T. and have been having better workouts and improved body comp.

Try it.

Maxy Maze is good when consumed by itself because it moves through the stomach extremely quickly - faster than the other recovery sugars. However, once it is mixed with whey protein or another type of protein it is absorbed just like dextrose or Maltodextrin; so not likely to be worth the price.

I prefer malto because it’s easier on my stomach and not as sweet but it costs more than dextrose so I just use the cheap stuff.

Dextrose and malto work very well for me and they are cheaper than WMS, so the choice is easy for me.

Whey + semi-skimmed milk half on hour or so before bed. ZMA before bed.

It would be more accurate to say that I have most of my carbs before and during training since I do occasionally have some after training as well.

I used to use malto 25g and dextrose 25g PWO but in the past months switched to WMS. I haven’t noted any great difference and will be switching back. Does the ratio I laid out look in line with the norm or would I be better off adjusting it?
