Powerlifting Totals for a Teenager

Hi guys, I’ve been considering doing a powerlifting competition for some time now. I turned 18 years old a few days ago, so I figured I’d post my maxes and see if there’s any chance of placing well in a comp, but I’m considering doing one solely for the experience.

I’m a senior in high school and 194 pounds. My maxes include (raw with a belt and knee sleeves):

445 squat
285 bench
515 deadlift
230 incline bench
185 strict military press

Also, I am particuarly fond of olympic lifting. My maxes for those include:
315 full clean
185 snatch
205 clean and press
(I’m not too sure about clean and jerk, but I’m sure I could do about 225)

If anyone has any feedback about these numbers, I would appreciate it so much. I’ve thought about doing a weightlifting comp also, so I would apprecaite input on those numbers also!

Those are good numbers for 18 years old for sure, just the fact that you are serious about training is good. How you would place depends on who else is there, none of those lifts are close to world records but that shouldn’t matter, you have a long way to go. There are guys in their 50’s setting records in the open class.

Sign up for a meet, and don’t hesitate to ask any questions.
