Powerlifting and Bodybuilding Workout

Hi, I love lifting heavy and getting stronger each workout but I also want the body to go along with it and love squeezing and getting a good pump every once in a while. The program I made myself is a 4 day split which is basically a upper lower and each day is dedicated to a big 4 lift. The first upper would be a bench variation and I would work up to a 3,2 or 1RM depending on the cycle and then do bodybuilding work after and then I would have a DL variation day, then a Military Press variation day and a squat variation day and then do bodybuilding work for either lower or upper depending on the day.

I have found that as I get stronger the more it takes out of me and it makes it harder to get through the rest of the workout especially on lower days. How would you program this or is what I have the right path to go?

I would really appreciate any advice you could give me! Thanks

First advice is stop being impatient. I love helping people out and do my best to do it as much as possible. But I’m not on the clock 24/7. I wake up at 4:30 am and have my first client at 6am and finish my last group of athletes at 8pm (7pm if I’m lucky). I also have to do my own training and write articles. I do my best to answer forum questions as often as possible.

I find it rude when people either bump their question or repost just because I didn’t answer them within an hour.

Sorry, I never meant to come off as rude. Im new to the forums, just joined a few days ago and just saw my question falling down the list and just thought it would get washed away. I apologize again

As you get stronger, the big lifts will naturally tax the body a little more. But you should be getting stronger overall: mentally and physically. Keep at it and you most likely will build up the capacity to do more in any given workout.

If not, train for it. Start small and gradually add volume until you meet your level of intolerance so that you know exactly how your body handles it.
