We went to the Chris Stapleton concert. First time I went to a concert since the 80’s. That one was so loud it was uncomfortable. That’s maybe why I waited 40 years to go to another. This one sounded very good. Just a little disappointed he didn’t sing my favorite song of his “Nobody To Blame “.

Definitely pulled an oblique yesterday.

Wonder if it was from deadlifts or the RDLs. Shucks sorry to hear that hope it heals quickly.

Good question. The last DL was a little funky with a small lateral movement. I didn’t feel anything until I unracked the 4th set of RDL’s. Could it have been delayed from the last deadlift?

Who knows but that would be my bet. I had my lips go numb once on heavy rack pulls that went badly sort of how you described it (felt something move/shift…no real pain at first) when my little girl was asking me some urgent questions (like what’s your favorite ice cream flavor) mid pull. Lasted for 10 mins or so and scared me a bit. Crazy things can happen when you least expect it.

I would love to see Chris Stapleton but agree with you on the loud volume. I have never understood the thought process behind giving people hearing damage at a concert. Louder isn’t necessarily better. Shoot I complain about the volume of the music at our church sometimes. :joy:

Sorry to hear about your oblique. Hopefully that heals up quickly.

Chris Stapleton is the man. Beautiful voice, awesome blues player, and genuinely talented. Not like all this over edited , auto tuned crap that is blasting on the radio now and days.

Definitely pulled an oblique yesterday.

Sorry to hear that man. You’ll bounce back quick

Sorry to hear of the pulled oblique. That will heal.

I saw The Who when my wife and I were young. When they opened up, and John Entwhistle went through those first notes on his bass, it was so loud it crushed all of the calcium deposits in my body.

Not really, but yea, concerts might be too loud.

@KonsuTheTraveller , @TM79 you gentlemen obviously have good taste in music. I think it’s crazy how much tickets cost but in this case, worth it.

Benching did not bother my side but warming up with lateral raises did.
A random guy came up and told me I was a beast. That is always nice to hear.
I talked to a younger gentleman who is serious about his training and it shows. I usually have a short conversation with him when I see him at the gym. He heard second hand that we got married and bought me an expensive bottle of bourbon. What a nice guy. I have some relatives that did not respond to their invitation, and he buys me a bottle of bourbon.

That is awesome man. Sounds like a really cool gym atmosphere. People calling you a beast AND buying you bourbon. Damn. Doesn’t get much better than that!

Nice benching btw!

That is a great story.

I would like to think so. I’m sure the respect thing goes both ways. You meet some good people at the gym.

Thanks. This was at my old gym that I have been using more frequently. It has better equipment and the atmosphere you mentioned. The best part is that this is where I met my wife.

Going to be out of the gym for a little bit. We are leaving for the honeymoon soon.
I told my wife that there is a very nice gym not far from where we are staying. She said we are not going to train during our honeymoon.
