Nice squatting and deadlifting. And super impressive DB rows. Not even sure if my gym has 150’s. Haven’t spent a lot of time looking in that section of the rack. :man_shrugging:t2:

Thanks Trent. The dumbbell row is one of my favorite exercises. I would rather do less reps with a heavier weight. When I push the reps really high it wipes me out.

High rep DB rows wipe everyone out I think. I know they kick my ass.

As Trent said, impressive lifting going on in here.

When I used to deer hunt in the Black Hills, I’ve had these guys walk by me. The one time I drove hundreds of miles to specifically hunt them, I got skunked. This morning (the first time in over a 1/4 century) I had one walk across my yard. It was exciting for me.

Oh happy day! I love wild turkeys. To look at and also to eat… lol

Amazingly they walk along the side of US highway 51 in northern Wisconsin.

We have had a low population of them in Iowa this past year. My working theory is raccoons are eating the eggs as we have had a raccoon and coyote population explosion. Of course the yotes are getting their share too I imagine.

It’s very odd not to have a lot of them around and I don’t like the trend. Earlier this year I had heard a similar account in Missouri with low populations as well.

Who knows maybe one of these bird flus has hit them as well. Good news is they are a tough bird and will bounce back.

That’s interesting. I didn’t make that correlation. I have had more turkey sightings these last couple of years and coyotes are down. Used to hear them yipping every night. They used to come around my place at night and try and call out my dogs away from the house. Now it’s quiet at night. I figured it was because the electronic calls made coyote hunting more popular. My best rifle shot ever was dropping a coyote on a dead run at a very long range, behind my place. @mechinos

I should make a point to take up coyote hunting. Just always feel weird shooting something I have no intention of eating, but then again that’s how you end up with dogs getting eaten and no turkey population.

It looks like a challenging hobby. Predators are way harder to hunt in my experience. Way more aware of what is going on around them. All I ever do is take a pass at them with my bow during deer season if I see one coming by my stand on a late morning in the woods. 9 times out of 10 they bust me drawing back on them from 30 yds away in the woods which always shocks me how they can pickup on that random movement in some random tree while they trot through the woods at a good clip.

Never tried shooting a raccoon. Maybe I am too in love with Rockets marvel character but they always crack me up when I seen them in the woods. It’s never just one raccoon either, they are clumsy and loud so you can hear them literally a mile off in the woods, and usually I see two or three of them fighting each other while walking through the woods. Trash pandas is a fitting description.

They are Wiley. All the ones I’ve shot have been while hunting something else. The few times I went out after coyotes I didn’t get any.

I had a short conversation with a gentleman at the gym.He was fit and had good build. I asked him how old he was. I was quite surprised when he said 60.

That is some strong deadlifts. Hell, I would have been happy with your RDL numbers on deads.

Nice workout!
