Videos please, good sir
Nice deadlifts. 150 pound rows are damn impressive also.
@ChickenLittle @TM79 @shaneinga
Thank you very much
@whang
I will do that, it’s been a while since I’ve posted a video. When I do you will have to give me an honest critique.
We believe ya. Good work for a meathead.
Oh don’t worry, I’ll be critiquing you until you get a 50 lbs PR on everything. Lol!!
Btw just to clarify, not asking for proof of your lifting. Just genuinely wanted to see some strong ass work ![]()

430 yesterday. I have been using a modified 5-3-1 program. Day one, 4 sets of 5 at the same weight; the following week, 4 sets of 3; and then the week after that, a set of 5 with the same weight used on day one, a set of 3 with the same weight as on day two, and then 1 max rep. This past cycle the weights were 360, 385 and of course, 430 respectively. Next cycle I will add 5lbs.
Damn strong overhead, especially after bench. Nice work
Edit: oh damn just watched the video. Brother 315 has no business moving that fast. Nice work x2
Outstanding bench and MP.
^Agree. Pressing after all that benching. Great energy.
UPS delivered the 4k shot. Thanks for your help. What is considered a respectable throwing distance for that?

Almost 12 months of training since cancer treatments and I don’t have my strength back but today I did do something strength wise that I have never done before. The Dan John deadlift challenge with 345 was the most I have ever done.

Hell of an impressive dead lift session. How you feeling today?
Very mild soreness, hands are a little tender. The bar had very good knurling. Emotionally very good. Very happy to have done something more post treatments than I have ever done before treatments. Gives me hope.
Hard question to answer. Definitely depends on age, size, sex, experience. The 4k is thrown by middle school boys who go to 12# in High school and 16# in college and beyond. Girls start throwning it in High School and stick with it all through school and beyond. Let’s say you have some 30+ men who have no idea how to throw I’d say upper mid 20’s to low 30’s. That should go up quickly as they learn to throw it right. I’d take a look at this first. A very basic youtube on how to hold it, placement of the next, and putting not throwing. Fine deadlifting.
One trick I’ve learned is doing leg curls before deads. Warms up leg muscles well for deads.
