Hypothetical scenario.
A 315lb, terrifically strong powerlifter becomes stranded on a desert island. He can only manage to scavenge the minimum amount of calories necessary for survival in a day. (Just enough to avoid suffering from malnutrition.)
Obviously he would lose weight but how much of his strength would he lose?

Until he is no longer the strongest person there?
I’m asking how drastically neural efficiency is affected by caloric deficit.
Doesn’t anyone have an answer?

How long is he stranded? If for only one day, then not much. If he is there for 40 years, then he will lose lots. Is this some type of new “fad” diet?

Aside from massive variance between individuals, I’m pretty sure there is next to no real data on how much neural factors v muscular size affect strength. So I’m going to have to go with no.
Put that same powerlifter on a Dessert island and he’s underwater in a week.

he would eat the natives, while squat/deadlifting trees and bench pressing huge rocks thus keeping all his strength.

Would alternating between benching rocks and trees, and between squat/deadlifting rocks and trees qualify as using the conjugate method.
if he ever got rescued hed just gain it back through muscle memory anyway so

Quoted for truth.
And yes, that looks like the conjugate method to me.

Don’t talk soft bro - there’s no way that’s right.
It’s got to be more like 47.623 percent.

You’re making a newbie error bra, you gotta round up not truncate. The cool kids don’t truncate.
