That is not what you look like.

The Ellie May Clampett reference made me laugh out loud this fine AM. Thanks for that!
Clearly I don’t agree because I copied you and wore the piggies yesterday. I did sort of question the age-appropriateness, but I kinda dug it.
Your deadlifting amazes me.

Oh, come on. All three of us old ladies can get away with it and look like hot high-schoolers. Okay, maybe not. But still. I wear piggies all the time. Husband totally digs 'em.
OK, first off, awesome lifting. I mean really, holy shit.
Secondly…to all the lovely lifters in this thread please provide pics or vids lifting with pigtails…preferably wearing new yoga pants…or singlets. kthxbye

I have to admit, the pig tails were worn for the benefit of my ‘spotter’.

At least he didn’t ask for plaid skirts. He must be ill.

Well…I was trying to be classy about it. If that is possible.
Anywho, I’m jealous of the men with their ladies that lift with or without pigtails (and skirts and knee-high socks)

I think we all know you too well, Giterdone. But we like you just the same.

ummm…thanks! (I think)
your squats are very solid. i don’t know how in the hell you get that damn low on the box squats… very awesome.
i was very impressed on your strain with that max attempt at deadlift. not many people would have stuck with it. that’s a sign of a seasoned lifter there.

Kind of like your squat makes me feel all warm and fuzzy…and really jealous.

The box squats were a trial test kind of thing. I’m going to do them again but I’ll add a plate to the box. I don’t think there’s much point going that deep. Most people seem to do them right at parallel. I think I’d go a bit deeper than parallel but the box plus plates is only 11".
Thanks for the compliment on the deadlift. It’s my lift so I love to when I get to push it. I hope to hit 400 within a year. We’ll see. I’d like to hit it at my current weight.

Bench
45-10
65-5
95-3
105-2
135-3 shirt to 2 boards - in super katana
155-3 to 1 board
165-1,1 to chest. Both of these were too low. We pulled the shirt tighter and I was having trouble hitting it properly.
175-0 dumped it to my belly
185-1 assisted rep. I came about and inch from touching and Frank guided it up.
187.5-0 dump to belly.
As unimpressive as the above appears, I don’t find it discouraging. The shirt is going to take a lot of work. We jacked it more than we did last time. The part that I’m happy enough with is that I attempted 185 and 187.5. Not too long ago, just holding that weight would have felt like too much and very stressful. Maybe next time we’ll go with more board work to get the feel of it.

that is a fine week of work.
that dead lift was amazing.
Nice Work! My old hips won’t let me go that deep on Box squats. I box squat pretty high myself…
I wanna see you pull that 400 ![]()
pigtails or not, I’m not fussy.
I’m kind of thinking of doing a Faux Hawk for the 400.
