When I get elite, I’m going to put on my red leather boots and I can be Mistress Elite  hahaha.

The said thing is, although this is a big goal of mine, it doesn’t even make any kind of anything when compared to the women who lift at open worlds. They are my inspiration.
Mistress Elite? Finally, the truth comes out as to why you have planted your boots firmly in the land of the old geezers! Run, fellahs! Away or towards is up to the individual of course…

I just realized I got my Master total. Now I’m just about 90 lbs shy of Elite. Fuck.

I also dreamed that you congratulated me on my meet, but you outlifted me by 100 lbs. Bitch.
You just realised? The first thing I did when you posted your total on FB was add it up and check it against qualifying totals because your lifts are (in my opinion) really big. I’m only really familiar with my weight class or a bit over or under. That’s the problem with being in the bigger weight classes. I think it’s probably tougher to hit higher levels. I hit masters at 340 kg and elite is 375 so the jumps aren’t so big. The difference is 77lbs.

I wouldn’t congratulate you if I out lifted you. I’d tell you that you suck. ha. However, you never will suck and I never will outlift you.

Deadlifting in boots. Red ones. Now there’s an image. Can you oblige?

Yeah, Elite at 165 is very close, Elite at 181 is very far away…

How about red boots and a cowboy hat?

Yeah, come on O_S, I put up my “Cowboy Deadlift” video, you can do a mistress elite in boots vid!

Another vote for red boots and a cowboy hat. And absolutely nothing else.

Boy I really shouldn’t have mentioned boots.

As long as they are part of chest waders, you might be alright. I think I would prefer knee highs, though.

Workouts are looking very, very good. I’m getting amped for you. Looking forward to the meet!

Maybe my construction boots I have for work. They aren’t too sassy looking but they’re great for kicking stuff.

Thanks for the good wishes. I’m just getting my usual pre-meet self questioning and angst. Here’s hoping I maintain the ability to focus the angst and do what I want to do.

Damn, you sound like me.

Maybe some really fitted thigh-high red boots. On your long legs . . . well, I’ll stop there.

Ahh, the pre-meet jitters. Hate and love it at the same time. I know you’ll do phenomenally. I’m really pulling for you to hit that elite total. I’d just like to move up a class.

I’m still on jam and boots…

how many meets have you done so far Ouro?

Nervousness will happen with any endeavor that you actually care about. Fortunately, you are a meet veteran. You don’t have to worry about the…where do I go, when do I go, what’s next crap. You are gonna do great.

This will be number 10.

In the fall I think I’ll move on to canning vegetables. I like mushrooms and garlic in oil.

Tuesday August 10

Bench
45-10
65-3
95-3
105-2
135-3 shirt on
145, 155, 165 all paused with commands. This is my 1st, 2nd and 3rd
185 for a negative with Franks pants on my face while he made sure I didn’t dump the bar
145-4

Squat
135-5x5

Good Mornings
135-5x5

DB Press
37-5x10
Yay. This means next time I’m moving up to 42.

10 meets under your belt - you shouldn’t get the jitters, you’re a pro! Those are some strong goodmornings

Some nervousness can really be a positive. Channel it into focus.

I find that just before I “perform” I know that I’m ready to go when I reach the point that I’ve forgotten everything I’ve ever known about the thing I’m doing. It used to freak me out, but now I accept it.

And you should have known the reaction you’d get by mentioning red boots. If there were no call for pix, you’d feel unloved.

The old crotch in the face used to throw me off. Now I’m grateful for the close spot.

Good luck, Miss Soon-to-be-Elite.

I used to lift with a co-worker who would laugh and say it was her favorite part of bench day.
