Waiting on an MRI right now for my left knee, meniscus damage is likely. Any ideas for posterior chain work that doesn’t involve the knee? Even back extensions are out, my knee doesn’t like being in that fixed position with my feet planted. Tried RDLs, no go. GHRs probably out as well.
Reverse hypers will probably work. If you can get into position, you can also lay stomach down on a swiss ball and do extension just involving flexion at the mid/lower-back while keeping the hip stationary, to hit the spinal erectors. Some people’s backs don’t agree with the extensions though if too much ROM is used when extending. Seated (on a flat bench) 1 arm dumbell presses will hit the inner oblique and some other torso/lower back musculature as well (but be careful while bringing the dumbell over to the bench).
Yeah I actually did the reverse hypers today, I can’t load them because of my knee but at least it’s something to keep my post chain from completely atrophying. Thanks for the tips.
