There is a difference between an ask and and the attitude I was describing. Itās literally the Hospitality industry, so I donāt like arrogance from that side either.
I havenāt been posting pizzas, but if you want some ideas . . .
This is just what a normal person should do all the time. Shame itās a hot take.
I agree. Most of my experiences have been very positive as they should be considering I pay, act polite with all servers, and tip well. I want good food / service and I want to come back.
The last business I ever want to own / run is anything in the food industry - hard gig. I appreciate those that do it big time.
Sadly, it is not so normal these days.
There was also a local equipment place that sold Stihl, Kubota line of tractors, skid steers, mini X, mowers, etc.
I went in one day in 2021 to buy a couple backpack blowers, chainsaws, and a few other things. Also had a certain skid steer, mini X, and zero turn on order with them.
I was about to checkout after the nice young lady at the counter had pulled everything out and spent 30 mins with me going over some things about the purchases, getting accessories, extra chains, etc. when the jaba the hit hag (ownerās wife) literally comes flying out of an office screaming at me due to not wearing a mask and said I would have to go back outside and get my mask to complete my purchase.
Mind you the young lady helping me did not have a mask on eitherā¦
That store is no longer in business funny enough - had to file bankruptcy. I wonder why.
Yeah the bad thing is my dad also had a tractor on order with various attachments with them too. Just between the two of us it was over 250K in sales they lost in 1 day.
A large Kubota dealer is about 8 miles down the road as well.
I always try to support local even if it is a bit higher price wise, but not with that kind of bullshit. You can get fucked. It probably did not help that I posed about my experience on social media either.
I ate at a high end French restaurant one time and the waiter told me: āāHere, you will be treated like a king, monsieurāā.
He bowed and gestured towards a magnificent painting of Louis XIV, le Roi Solei. Then he looked me straight in the eyes and pointed at a painting of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette getting their heads chopped off in the guillotine.
āāNow, which king that will be will depend entirely upon you. Monsieurāā, he concluded.
Probably one of the best pieces of ālifeā advice you can teach a young person, as it will be applicable to both personal/professional areas of their entire lives!
A funny example, I work in oil and gas and once was on a project team with maybe 7 or 8 men & women. One of the men in our group just didnāt get along well with one of the women, at all. Towards the end of the project he started to really become short with her and was rude overall. Constantly talking about her behind her back to anyone who would listen (āSheās an idiot, has no idea what she is doing, my way is betterā that kind of shit). He made it very clear to her that he didnāt like or respect her. Well, after the project everyone returned to their respective job roles and a few months passed, then we had a big re-org in the company. Iām sure you can see this comingā¦During the re-org company meeting, guess who was revealed to be the manager of myself, a few others, AND that particular dumbass guy? Yeah. When her name was announced as our new manager, I looked at him and he looked like he was about to puke. Long story short, the guy no longer works at the company. She made it her mission to micro-manage him, point out any mistakes, and I think just plain drive him away by making his working life miserable. I canāt say I agree with her doing that, but itās a great example of why you should remain civil and respectful with people, even if you canāt stand them or think theyāre an idiot, because you NEVER know if down the road you will one day have to report/answer to them.
I hear this said a lot, but very little on how this could actually be done and not fuck everything up.
The only plausible course (I am for btw) is shifting towards a consumption federal tax. The more you spend - the more you will pay with no write-offs or loopholes.
Weāre living in a world where 300-pound adults wear mouse ears, waddle through theme parks, and call it āmagicā while glorifying obesity as ābrave.ā Itās not brave ā itās delusional.
The fat acceptance movement isnāt about love or dignity. Itās a coping mechanism for people too lazy to change and too sensitive to hear the truth. Youāre not āoppressedā because chairs creak when you sit ā youāre just unhealthy.
These people donāt want respect. They want validation for their bad decisions. And society, spineless and scared of offense, hands it to them on a glitter-covered platter.
Being fat isnāt a personality. Living in a fantasy world doesnāt make you interesting. Stop demanding applause for your decline.
Nah! Itās Kalleās kaviar on eggs! In all honesty, it truly is - here in Swedenā¦
Kalles Kaviar is a creamy spread made primarily from smoked and sugar-salted cod roe. It has a distinct savory, slightly salty, and mildly smoky flavor with a hint of sweetness.
