Absolutely there is. Navajo bread for crust, Mexican tomato sauce, carne asada, al pastor, onion and cilantro for toppings with queso fresco over the top.
Never heard that name before.
¿Qué?
Thatās not pizza, thatās a taco.
I donāt know if it is the same recipe exactly, but I donāt think this is exclusive to the Navajo. Iāve just heard it called fry bread. IIRC, it made an appearance in the show Yellowstone.
Yeah, I know what it is. We eat it all the time. (Iām Lakota.) Indian tacos basically just ātacosā with a slice of frybread instead of a tortilla. Iāve just always heard it called frybread. Iād say @mnben87 is correct that itās not exclusive to the Navajo, but he and I are in the same area, so it must just go by different names in different regions.
Iāve had something similar in German and Polish households.
They just called it fried bread though.
Ah, so itās just a poor person food, haha.
āAll I have to eat is flour. How can I make it good?ā
Fry bread exists all over the world. Call it Naan if you prefer, Iām not hung up on the name. Anyways, itās better than Italian pizza.
I think Naan and fry bread are a bit different in that Naan isnāt fried (or at least I havenāt had it that way).

I believe there are different shaped cooking surfaces for it, but it is more roasted than fried.
Naan is totally different.
California pizza is the best.
And Iāve been a chef in Italy.
Itās alright. Detroit style is hands down the worst though.
Ok cool. In any case I highly recommend Navajo fry bread for a crust with all the other previously mentioned ingredients. Not going to get autistic over it.
Chicago style deeeeepppp dish is the best.
Anything else is for cowards, wimps, and weaklings with no gains.
Waiting for a Chicago deep dish isnāt the best though.
Gains and glory take time.
Rome wasnāt built in a day.
Itās not pizza.
Didnāt say it was haha.
I do like it though. Probably my favorite pizza like dish based on taste. My least favorite based on nutrition and wait time.
