šŸ”„ Post Your Hot Takes... Even the Oddly Specific Ones

I could take on 20 of you any day.

Bring it on!!

Yeah. And I’m at a stage I just brush it off, but, I do ride a Harley just for fun however am familiar with the backroad ice houses and general subculture and hang around it some.

True story, a guy from NY was mouthing off at a biker bar about his Italian uncles to a group of the dominant club out here and I think he will be picking teeth fragments out of his mouth for the rest of his life.

I just see it as an annoying adjustment period until they realize nobody cares. Come tell your uncle to collect then. This isn’t Kansas, Toto, we all have guns, are equally willing to use them and the law supports it. It’s not like bullying the Bronx. The rules are different.

Or, just give a polite hello, enjoy your beer and have a good time.

It used to be…mortgages and rent were considered 1 weeks pay…now its about a months pay

bidenomics

Consider it painted.

Women can certainly be tough. I watched my wife birth 2 children and that is some tough shit.

Some of the toughest guys I know are very reserved and quiet / polite. I am close friends with a few seals. One is former seal team 5. Guys with dozens of bodies and you probably would not hear any shouting or bravado from them - you would just wake up dead.

My wife is a coffee fanatic. She has said more than once that she wishes I liked coffee.

I only follow car and gun stuff on IG. Modern action films are garbage. I don’t really watch any TV or movies other than what my kids are into these days.

In today’s world - self-defense physically is good to know and practice, but I just act like everyone has a gun and / or knife. I just want to be left alone and will do everything to de-escalate, but don’t take that as weakness.

Definitely never too late. I try to roll once or twice a week and spar with guys that are much better than me. It is also great cardio.

I am getting old and broken, so you would probably be facing 20 projectiles.

Just saying.

It can’t be just attributed to one short term president. It’s been a building issue for a long time

Regardless of whether you like Radiohead or not, OK Computer is still the most important album release of the past 40 years.

The older I get the more hatred I have for government and those that support more / bigger government. That difference is irreconcilable to me and moving closer to violence every day. I have a lot of friends that also share this view. This scares me for my children.

While I did figure it out, I didn’t see my first roundabout until I was in my 40s. There was a momentary panic.

I understand that, but it’s not complicated.

If there’s a roundabout without a high median and there’s no one around, is it really a roundabout or a speed bump?

Nothing after Thriller held as much of a lasting impact, and that was in 1982.

People will try to say Nevermind but musically Nirvana wasn’t doing anything new. They helped bring grunge to the mainstream and formed part of the cultural attitude of the era, but other bands were along for that ride. Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains etc. A voice for the disaffected youth. I believe that The Pixies and Sonic Youth are more influential. This is not to say I don’t like Nirvana, I do. It is not to say they don’t hold a strong influence either.

Maybe Arcade Fire ā€œFuneralā€ would be somewhere up there, Amy Winehouses ā€œBack In Blackā€ too. Aside from that we are talking about maybe a few of the hip-hop album greats, Marshall Mathers LP, The Blueprint.

None of them are close to OK Computer though. There really isn’t a strong list of contenders IMO.
