Positions of Flexion trianing programs

has anybody out there tried the Positions of Flexion training programs? if so, please reply. i wanted to order the book but don’t know if the programs are for real. will it really pack on the mass?

I did that program about 8 years ago in high school. It’s just a gimmicky workout program. Save your money.

I tried it a long time ago. It is not based on sound physiology. You do not need 3 kinds of lifts. A full ROM and a good contraction are easy to get. OTOH, POF is a good change of pace and that can help as well.

Points Of Flexion, aka., POF, is a comprehensive, highly intelligent,
“HIT” style training program engineered by Steve Holman. It is
designed solely for bodybuilders, most notably “hard gainers.”

Having purchased the original text "Critical Mass" and its follow-up "Compound After Shock," 6 years ago, I would say they are a must read for those who enjoy "HIT" style" training! "Critical Mass" is at worst a learning experience for those who are "not" HIT advocates. The book provides a unique over-view which deals with the workings of all the major muscle groups and associated exercises involved in a bodybuilding routine. Holman accomplishes this through a specific sequencing of exercises: a Stretch exercise, a Mid-range exercise, and a Contracted exercise - aka., "Points of flexion!"

Comments: Six years ago, I devoted 27 months to POF training. The Initial progress was outstanding; however, halfway through this time sequence, I started to develop numerous overuse injuries which were directly related to an over-reliance on "training to failure!" The end result was that after 2 1/4 years my training had become incurably stale! In retrospect, POF did not provide nearly enough volume to sustain growth. Originally, I had found the precepts of POF to be quite fascinating, but in hindsight, I see them as little more than a failed experiment!
