Hi Guys! Help me out with some exercises for improving the flexibility and strength of my lower back.

Squat, Some form of deadlift, Good Mornings, hyperextensions.

You don’t want a lot of flexibility in a load bearing structure, which is what your lower back is. Instead, you want hip flexibility so the lower back can stay in it’s strongest position while allowing the range of movement you want.
Eric Cressey and Mike Robertson made a DVD called “Magnificent Mobility” which addresses this. There are also articles on the site which talk about this. Just use the search function at the top of the web page.
