Poliquin vs Waterbury 4 Fat Loss

My older brother wants me to design a program for him to help him drop about 15 LBs as fast as possible (getting married in 2 months). He’s a fairly experienced lifter (6+ years of 5x/week) who has been following a pretty traditional split routine.

As far as diet, we’ve cleaned it up significantly following a modified Anabolic Diet protocol (6 days no carb, 1 day carb-up). I keep telling him that he just needs to let his diet and training do all the work for him, but he’s understandably impatient.

I’ve done a little research on T-Nation for different fat-loss programs, and I was wondering if anybody has any strong opinions in favor of Poliquin’s German Body Comp training/lactic acid training for fat loss? I recently switched him over to a 4x/week full-body approach, which is my preferred style.

Still, I can’t help but wonder if maybe there is some real substance behind the flowery words of Poliquin’s program. Thanks.
