Anything new from you savages ?
Going well,
classes are good and my teams are def getting stronger/faster, so im happy with that.
Training is going well, starting to get strong again. Did trap-bar deads with the low handle with 405 for 10 reps at 3010 weighing about 199. Going to try and squat 300 for 12 3010 on monday.
Bio-Print was cool, the softwear is nice and the protocols are simpler and leave less guess work. Unfortunatly, in a college atmospher im not sure how much use ill get out of it, and concidering the very high cost of it I kinda regret doing it. Although if i were running my own training business then I would recomend it, esp for the whole sale supplements.
ISAK was also very cool. almost everyone at the 3 day course had either a masters degree or a PhD in exersise scince or nutrtion so i was able to meet and network with lots of people. It had skin-folds as well, but also girths, bone bredths and limb lengths which you can use to get somato-type information. As a student I only paid 250 for the course and only had to drive about 3 hours up to colorado springs. This also alowed me to checkout the OTC.
Last week I went up to denver again for the NSCA conference, there were 7 lecturers/demonstrations. 3 were awesome, 2 were poor.
Thats about it for me.
If you have specific questions about the bio-print. please ask.
Hey amigo,
what simplifications were made for bioprint? Obviously you cant go you into too many specifics but what changes did you notice?
Concerning the interest in magnesium and potassium: Some 15 years ago a Dr. Julian Whitaker wrote about patients complaining about a lack of energy. He suggested a magnesium/potassium in an aspartate base 250mg of each, take all 4 about 10:00A in the morning. I went to the US vitamin store, and used one at breakfast, lunch, supper at 8:00P for years on end.
Recently stopped taking this, In 6 weeks everything went down ill, no zip, no sex drive, no interest in working out. Got restarted on the same supps from the big store, and with in a week up and running, and working out.
Good news is that you same a lot money getting this combo into you.
From a 71 year olde who is 100% alive, well and working…
Hips,
Anything new on the horizon from Poliquin ? I am looking to make a purchase soon, my love handles, hip/glute, and pecs could use some leaning out.
Basically it goes in to more detail about whats wrong/limiting your body.
So for example, instead of just saying you hamstring is your worst site, it tells you if you hamstring is the worst because it cant clear the toxins, or because your body is producing to much estrogen on its own. The supplement/dietary fixed would be different depending on the specific cause.
first video for a while
Matched my 10rm without tempo, but with tempo and MUCH better form. ![]()
ill attempt a new 10rm without tempo in a few more weeks. hoping for 335 or so
I have still found that nothing leans out hamstrings like CDG + Dim 2.0 and lots of veggies. Every few days it’s more and more noticeable.
Final Test day! Happy to say I hit all my minimum goals, and all but 1 of my Maxiumum goals.
The only one i didnt hit was 242 deadlift. Tried twice but couldnt break it off the ground.
Hey man!
Thanks for updating! I was literally wondering yesterday what happened to you. Congrats on all the PRs! Whats the latest? When do I get to pick your brain about all the new goodies of info you learned?! ![]()
Hips,
Awhile back you mentioned a company that Charles was now pushing, does it happen to be ATP Labs. I see he mentions it on his Strength Sensei website.
Maxi:
I believe it is ATP. Whatever it is on his facebook. He has talked about it in some videos. Looks fine, seems like good products. I think he is private labeling them. I have no tried them. I wonder if Tork has??

Not a ton new going on, working, training and going to school.
Back into a high-volume phase for a few weeks. this next 9 week program im on is to bring up my over-head pressing and front squat.
My masters is going well.
Coaching is great, really loving what im doing atm. my kids are getting some good results in the weight-room. my book knowlage and of course my experiences with Andre, Ben Prentiss and of course my time in the Canadian Sport system are all starting to mesh and im finding my own style.
I have not tried ATP. although it looks awesome and i get whole-sale. The salary of a GA at my university isnt enough for me to spend it on much besides good food and key supplements (like whey, creatine etc…)

Anything new from you Poliquin maniacs ? Just bought some supps from his strength sensei website, will give feedback once they arrive.
In my world there is a ton of shit going on. Is there anything specifically you are inquiring about? ![]()
Hi all,
Just read through all 37 pages of this thread in the past week or so and it has been eye-opening to say the least. So much different than how most people think about nutrition.
I’m interested in starting some of the most basic supplements talked about in this thread like zinc, mag, vit D, and possibly DIM as I’ve heard good things. I’ve got some questions about them though and hoping someone could help (mostly about dosing cause a lot of you guys seem to be going above the recommended doses).
For zinc - how many mg per day and how should I split them up? am and pm or one dose? I also noticed some people starting with a high dose and tapering down and maintaining at a low dose, is this necessary? Does the form (chelate) matter significantly?
For mag - again, how many mg per day and when to take? topical/pill/both? Does chelate matter?
Vit D - dosing?
and lastly DIM - how much and when? And also is this a supp that people take for life like the others or is something you take for a specific period of time to solve a problem then stop?
Thanks for all the information you all have shared!
WW: Thanks man! Ill take that as a compliment ![]()
Here are hopefully some helpful answers:
zinc: I take an AM and PM dose (with food or else it makes me feel sick) of usually Elemental zinc (orotate & asparatate). Usually 1 cap AM and PM but sometimes 2 caps at night. I have seen and suggested 50mg AM & PM especially if someone is deficient. Most of the time people start getting muscle twitching, usually of the triceps when zinc levels run high.
Mag: I will usually do powder but I do have a topical mist spray that I use for soreness as well so I have idea how much I honestly take. Most people are deficient as well in mag, an easy dose is go heavy until stools get soft/watery and start dialing back from there.
Vit D: usually dosed by blood levels and climate. If you don’t get a lot of sun you can dose heavy, upwards of 50k IU a day (spilt between morning and afternoon dosages, do not take past 5pm). You can dose sub that if you want, maintenance 5k IU a day. I have personally taken 100k IU a day.
DIM: I do AM & PM based on hormone cycle. 100-200mg (AM&PM) is a decent dose, but this could depend on the clients issues.
Hope this helps!
