I cannot believe how obsessed I used to be with Pokemon. I learned Japanese so I could play the original version of the game on game GameBoy, 3 years before it came out in America. Yikes.

The japanese Pokemon cards were also 10x cooler than the american ones.
I played the japanese game too, w/out knowing the language… still managed to beat it though using translated game guides
