Plucky Scares the Frat Boys

nothing gets my teeth on edge like prejudice: racism and sexism ect… I try to tell myself that those are signs of lack of education but damn I just want to punch them until they see the light.

generalizations in general will get an eye brow response from me.

anywho…

Keep up the good work plucky, Ms.

^yup that. are your scared yet?

If you meet an older gentleman by the name of Jesse White at the gym, he’s a friend of mine. He’s a nice gray haired fellow. Usually works out in the mid-afternoon as I recall from my days there.

Plucky, you run a very entertaining log here.

I’m rather jealous about the surplus of hot guys at your gym, as opposed to the decided deficit of same at mine.

Freshmen - Get 'em while they’re thin.

Once you’re out of college the proportion of fit people in the gym seems to go down. Or I go to an awful gym…

I would have to lift with you before I could tell you if I am scared. Personally I like a woman who is as skeptical, cynical, and in love with laughter as much as I. You meet that requirement?

Anywho…

Thanks Kimba! Good to see you here!

Nice eyebrow gif…

Ok, so I woke up this morning pretty much hating life and getting out of bed was a total drag. No energy, cranky, and I went to physics and likely failed my first quiz. I get to the gym and I’m like, “ugh, I have no energy, how am I going to pick up all this heavy shit?”
It didn’t go too badly considering, but about halfway through my workout I epiphanized the cause-I’m neck deep in PMS (sorry guys).

Anyway, here’s the result:
Vertical Push/Pull

DB OHP: 5x5, 25s
supersetted with L laterals (yowch!)
Laterals: 5x5, 20s

assisted dips: 86.5, 2x5; 78, 3x5
supersetted with assisted pullups
pullups: 69.5, 5x5

hit the rack for the first conventional deads I’ve done in a goodly while
:: 135 lbs, 4x5
I was gonna go for 5x5, but my form was getting a lil poopy by the fourth so I decided not to push it, considering my body feels like jello for the most part today. The grip was good though.
Between sets the gym manager came by with his workout partner and told me I looked good .
We’ll see how good things look when I get my groove back
I love the guys who run the equipment storage in the main part of the building. They tease me and give me extra towels and stuff. People are so good here! Not to mention the showers in the locker room are considerably nicer than the piece of crap I share with seven other girls in my dorm sigh

Heh, same PMS story over here.
I was dead today.
But kudos for getting a workout in nonetheless, looks like good stuff to me.

Ugh, I don’t envy you. Girls can be disgusting creatures in kitchens and bathrooms :frowning:

Good work deadlifing on PMS day.

As a Terrapin I hate to have to post in this thread, but the numbers & verbiage are both excellent.

Does Art still work in the basket room? I can’t remember the other two guys’ names.

You deadlift last? I always deadlift (or any heavy lower body exercise) first in the workout.

Yeah, being a girl is harsh sometimes, but I try my best!

I haven’t met an Art, but I know John and Wayne. I aim to do my heavies early in my workouts, but the order I do my lifts in depends largely on the traffic in the gym rather than what I want to do :stuck_out_tongue:

print- hi  thanks for joining in!

Sheeewt I’ve been gone a while! I’ll spare everyone the gory details of my time MIA, we’ll stick to the basics: mother nature decided to charge extra this month, I was bedridden for like four days, got depressed, got sick…

then I had to write a paper.

So yeah, the last two weeks have sucked.

But, I’m going to the gym tonight

Updates to follow…

But then I found $5.

or bought a pair of awesome shoes…

I was wondering where you were Ms. Lady… sorry for the crappy weeks.

School has really been cutting into my life as well

Hokaaayy here’s Tuesday night, just popped in rather late at night and got the blood stirring again:

squat: 95x5, 115x5, 135x5, 135x5, 115x5

romanian dl: 95x8, 115x8, 115x8

incline bb bench: barx5, 55x5x4sets

and today:

rack pulls: 95x5, 115x5, 135x5, 155x5, 175x5, 195x5, 215x5, 235x5…I’ve never been so aware of my spine…
I think I slapped on the straps after 175. That’s a big improvement in the grip over last time, woot woot!

assisted pullups, 5x5, setting 61

supersetted w/ db OHP, 5x5 with the 25s. that felt really easy so it looks like I’ll be hitting the 30s next week!

glute kickback machine:3x5, 190. I was inclined to do more sets, but I was extremely dizzy. Note to self, bring proteinz next time you’ll be in for a long workout

seated calf raises 3x8, 50 lbs. another note to self, these are really dangerous right after the floor has been mopped and your shoes are all wet

It was thunderstorming today, and I discovered that one of my rainboots has a leaky. Guess I’ll be needing some new ones, I hear it rains a lot around these parts in the winter time. SHOPPING TRIP!!! Haha just what I need

I have such a headache…I knocked myself silly on the cabinet over my desk today. I’m SO graceful.

Glad to see you’re back at it after two weeks of craziness!

Have fun shopping!
