been working out for bout 5 years. and the last two i have done a simple split routine. and now im currently doing 5x5 just to up my lifts. after im done with 5x5, id like to try something with a little more frequency. Frequency meaning ill work out my muscles as often as possible while still allowing them adequate time to recover.
Any recs?
thanks in advance.

Why not do what we had to do: read articles and books to get information and then try to apply this information in the gym.

Why squash a genuine question? This is what the forums are for. I’m sure the guy could make his own program but it’s nice to get some feedback or converse with others before making your own decisions. I wish I found this post sooner.
This is a huge problem here and I assume everywhere in forums across the net. If you don’t have the knowledge, energy, or altruistic desire to help others in their genuine pursuit of knowledge it would probably be best that you don’t say anything at all.
Check out Big Beyond Belief. Many people have had good results with it. Its pretty simple, but brutally hard. I gave it a run once but couldn’t keep doing it, cuz it was that hard.

Well i tried it last year so let me gather my thoughts. Actually Im on 5/3/1 now and I much prefer that, but anyways, I found it brutal. Besides warm up sets, every set is taken to failure. I burnt out before I could notice any results. But you have to eat well, something I probably didn’t do. oh and sleep, something I was lacking (because of school). So I stopped doing it. But I will not say anything bad about it, or that it doesnt work because I was doing a program that I shouldn’t have done during a time of significant stress. But try it out. You might like it.

ok cool. I just found the OTS BBB thread and I’m reading through that. Its 45 pages so its going to take a while but the 4 times a week program looks pretty cool. I’ve responded well in the past to programs with a lot of volume so this might be good. Did you do the 4 days a week program or the 6 days a week when you tried it out?
.greg.
A higher frequency split that hits your muscles 2x a week would be:
Chest, tris, shoulders
Back, bis
Legs
Chest, tris, shoulders
Back, bis
Legs
Off
Repeat
Try the super accumulation program.
BBB is awesome, 6 day a week was hell but fucking awesome to get through it!
^^im thinking about trying BBB… I was thinking the 4 days a week template though. Ive been reading through the BBB threads but they’re pretty lengthy so its a slow process.
