And X is right, undertraining is probably the biggest concern with a lot of people around here. That would explain 3 years and no gains.
No it doesn’t, and quite frankly I don’t know why anyone cares.
If you want a diary of the past 3 years of my life I can PM it to you.
So wait, you make this thread asking for help, basically tell us that in 3 years you made zero progress up until 14 weeks ago, then get angry when someone questions your ability to train hard?

I was addressing his issue of not making progress on his lifts.
That advice may NOT help him if intensity just isn’t there or technique is way off(which I’m NOT implying it is).
Sure. But I think the more pressing issue is the 50lbs of what appears to be mostly fat, according to the OP, on top of a lack of gains in 3 years.
And to the OP: you were 145lb 4 months ago by your own admission. Unless you had cancer or some shit, you couldn’t have possibly been training properly over 3 years if you a) were that weight last chistmas or b) are asking the questions you put forward.

Are you serious? I mean, who the hell wouldn’t question what the fuck was going on for three years that somehow just dissipated 4 months ago causing you to gain 50lbs in 14 weeks?
You are the one claiming a good chunk of that gain was body fat…therefore, regardless of whatever numbers you claim for weight lifted, the question still stands if you even train that hard.
Your “4 month ago” weight on bench press was less than most beginners who have any physical activity background what-so-ever…yet you had that strength level AFTER 3 YEARS!!!
What the hell was going on for 3 years and why is it a secret?

True. An excess of fat is just bad dieting I guess.
Maybe he was stuck in weight lifting pergetory(I know I was for a while).

You seem to be missing the point. If you think you are going to jump into this and make zero mistakes, you are mistaken. If you don’t ever gain more body fat than “ideal” when putting on muscle mass you will never know where your own body’s limits are.
The issue is NOT that he gained some body fat. The issue is that after 3 full years of making ZERO progress, he suddenly gains 50lbs yet doesn’t want anyone questioning his intensity or work ethic.
LOL.
I look a lot like Godzilla, just a lot shorter, sharper teeth and less scaly.maybe a tad lighter complexioned.

Damn. I gained too much fat on my first bulk, but this is just ridiculous.
Unless muscles were bulging out everywhere or the OP just escaped from Auschwitz I don’t even see how you could possibly pass by a mirror everyday and not think to do a little cardio or stop eating 4lbs of pasta at dinner.

I hear I look like The Olson Twins…only a tad darker…a little more muscle mass…less hair…oh, and I don’t have a twin. Other than that, you couldn’t tell us apart!

I did a similar thing to this a while back…then I panic-dieted and ended up with more fat and roughly the same amount of muscle as when I started. DON’T DIET (yet).
If I were you, I would listen to ProfX and throw in some cardio and clean up the diet. I would also make sure I’m hitting the weights with enough intensity.
If he drops weight quickly now (like he seems to be leaning towards based on his comment about vacation) he will lose quite a bit of any muscle he gained simply because it was a shock to his body to gain that much that fast to start with. In a drastic caloric deficit, the first thing to go will be newly gained lean body mass especially since it has only been 4 months.
The only good thing that came out of me doing that was that I hit the same weight stronger and leaner. Of course, I would have made more overall progress if I didn’t diet it off in the first place.

Professor X:
To the original poster, YES, you need to drop at least 20lbs and quick. I suggest the Velocity diet and then spending the next 5-10 years making no progress while accusing everyone growing faster than you of being on drugs.
Who knew it would only be three years of no progress?

I think it is blatantly obvious he stopped most or all exercise and proper nutrition until 14 weeks ago, and he is just to ashamed to admit it. Its not possible to make no progress over 3 years even without an optimal diet or exercise program.
