Alright guys, who has some advice or a plan for me? I’m getting back into lifting after somewhat taking the past year off, during that time I would workout about once a week, always upper body, I know, I know. I am planning on trying out for the Police department in 13 weeks and need to get my run on a 1.5 mile down to around 12min (currently around 16 because I have to do some walking.)
I’m also a amatuer mma fighter (who isn’t these days, lol)and need to keep that training up even though I will not have any planned fights during this time-frame. To top it all off I am about 45-50lbs over-weight!!! So… I was thinking:
~2 days of Whole-Body training (Mon&Thu)
~2 days of Combat sports training (rolling, bag work & sparring)(Tue&Fri)
~2 days of Running and Abs (Wed&Sat)
~V-Diet for 4 weeks then slowly add carbs back, but keep then real low for the next 13 weeks.
I haven’t done whole-body workouts since I was about 12 years old and don’t really know if it would be ideal for me or where to start. I was thinking:
Squats
Snatches
Clean & Press
Pull-Ups
Bench Press
Rows
All done for 3-4x5.
I know I’ve laid out somewhat of a plan, but really would like some feedback and opinions. Maybe I’ll suck-it-up and submit my pictures for the Physique Clinic for some extra motivation and guidance?
