Placebo Response BS?

The study basically attempted to test the strength of the placebo effect, and found that there wasn’t enough evidence to find that the placebo had any effect. Old news (May 2001) but I’m just hearing this now. What do you guys think?

The current issue (April) of the Journal of Clinical Psychology has some debate and commentary on this issue and this particular referenced article. It is safe to say that opinions vary greatly in the scientific community on the matter of the placebo and its contributions in medicine.

I’m going to check that out, hopefully i can get more than an abstract. I’ve read a lot about subconscious suggestion and related topics, and i think its helped me in training but i’m not convinced. It could just be i’m focusing and trying harder.
