Well shit.

You find a gay club and go dancing in it.
Stop being a homo bro and I say it in the most loving non homo way possible.
Either you’re a fighter, training like a motherfucker and get down on your knees and say thanks to the Lord every night for having health and ability despite how you may appear or you’re a poser worried about how your obliques will look in a photo of you fighting some bum in a cheap ass show, just so you can put the picture on facebook and forums and play hardcore.
Go and fucking train until you bleed. Guaranteed you wont get fat and you’ll have the body you need to fight with not the one you need to pull chicks and fags.[/quote]
Great post.

not been a fan of BDu or ACU or the 511 love the knee inserts hate the cargo pockets
im also a midget - so these fit me differently
carhartt double knees are too high waisted and are serial nut huggers
but the insulated ones are awesome
while not a big guy- I still have to buy jeans with a waist size a few inches bigger-
like a 33 or they wont fit over my ass and legs
why the hate on 14" arms - think mine are that puny, but my forearms are over 16
go figure

Because 14’ arms is tiny by bodybuilding standards. But it’s still a tad above average; I’d say it’s the standard size to end up with if you’re an athlete with no big demands on your biseps and you’re not a big fucker.

Correct.Donald Dinnie,champion power athlete,15 in. arms
A lot of love for the 14" arms on here. I feel accepted in a way I’ve never felt before on the internet.
I know it gets laughed at by the bodybuilding crowd, and all the big strong people on the internet, but to me, looking at Skelac’s post of Donald Dinnie, he looks like a big strong bloke - much more so than anyone I’d come across in daily life. He may “only” have 15" arms, but I’m 6’1 and a little over 13st, whereas Dinnie is 15st at my height. Any guy around my height who got to that weight by focusing on being fit and strong and able to fight is a serious prospect to be reckoned with.

Any non-flabby 13st guy with a decent amount of relative strength and endurance is a scary person in my book.
Just for humor:
Must be a deficiency on my part, but, if someone was trying to kick my ass in training or for real, I never really stopped to check the size of their arms…Just like if you are taking incoming fire,I never stopped to think if the guy next to me was gay or not…funny how those little things melt away in a ass kicking situation. :)))))

the question about 14" arms - was entirely a joke - for all the same reasons
all my experience is via competition- maybe in the very beginning it was easy to get distracted
or perhaps even intimidated by someones physique

You guys are screwing up a thread that is now about getting humble to play dress up.
'ken oath!
On a different note… Anyone check out Uriah on TUF? Slick! I heard he knocked back the UFC years ago to concentrate more on stand up. Has had a whole bunch of kickboxing and boxing fights apparently.
Is this true? Doesn’t seem too bad a fighter and I like his humility.
Also enjoying to see Chael’s take on many things. Good when he’s not trying to hype things up for a fight.

Yeah, one of the sickest KO’s I’ve ever seen in MMA. He looks like he’s got lots of potential. Hopefully he can strengthen his mental game and continue to develop his physical skills. Also really like his humility as well.
And agreed, Chael is turning out to be a really good coach.

I had to look this up.
My knowledge of Aussie culture is based wholly on having had the differences between Toohey’s old and Toohey’s new explained to me, and on having watched Breaker Morant more times than is strictly healthy.

Uriah and the Gracie JJ student both empress me.
I thought Uriah was pulling his head straight back too often in his fight, but his distance and timing was good. I really was surprised at how well he threw that kick.
I am kind of uncomfortable with how much Chael is impressing me.

Explosive repetitions, chain movements and explosive movements like power cleans
Hard sparring,uphill sprints,cheap drinks
Trying to steer back on topic. I dont know a ton about MMA but i do know about combat oriented fitness. There is no just lifting or just running. You do everything, training all day in and out.
If you want some advice and how to e fit to fight, maybe check our the “SOF candidate” section on sealfit and drag yourself through it till you feel like youre going to die.
Im a jtac and every day begins with an 8 mile run at 5am followed by training in full gear, lunch, lifting, and then more training or grass and gorrillas style smoke sessions.
Being big wont make you strong, just tired. Theres a reason all the wieght lifters quit first
