You know something? I actually thought of you and your avatar during the swim portion of my race.
I’ll describe more tomorrow…
but thank you!

I’ve been watching your Physique Clinic ever since it started and I have to say it’s pretty damn inspiring. It’s just amazing to see the difference in the pictures. You really do look like a different person. Good luck and I hope your knee holds up.
It is pretty amazing what you can do when given the proper tools and the proper mind set. The pictures only show half the story, I’m going to try and write the other half.
Oh…and I found out its not my knee, it was my hamstrings…
Like these little teasers I’m leaving?

Just to say congrats with all the progress in the clinic, and all the best for the race.
Also just to say a big thanks for the way you have participated in the clinic with you’re posting of the program, feedback and the way you’ve felt about everything along the way. You’ve really succeeded in making the clinic informative and entertaining.
Looking forward to the article to follow.
Cheers mate!

Cheers back and thank you. I wasn’t stoked when the coaches told us we had to write more and in the beginning it was all about being sarcastic with the amount of posts I did or didn’t do. But to tell you the truth, I would NOT have gotten all that I needed to get out of this clinic without acting/posting/writing the way I did.
So I hope that more people like you feel the same way!

Oh hell, it’s almost race time! Best of luck to you. Be smart about the knee, kick some ass and have fun!!
I had more fun that I can describe, but I’m gonna try tomorrow

I had to re-read the post where you mentioned Atmosphere to make sure my eyes weren’t decieving me! He’s by far the best rapper out there, even including other underground artists.
Anyway, good luck in the race man, I’m sure you’ll do great!
I first hear Atmosphere years ago, then saw him on Warped Tour when Seven’s Travels came out. Awesome.
He played a show in LA with a band that lasted over 3 1/2 hours. Was good but way too long.
As for the race, like I said, I am very proud of my times.

edit oops, sorry on the repost. I am still learning how to navigate this whole posting thing. And since I’m here, why the heck is Bartl’s title on this thread, “Barti”? Isn’t there any way to fix this?
did it a lot myself. Not sure why they never fixed my name, I even said something about it on this thread back in December.

Screw you dude.
Happy you’re back with exclaimation points, though. Sounds as if you had a rockin’ good time.

Man, change your avatar, it doesn’t show your good side.
I had amazing time. One of the most fulfilling experiences I have ever done.

I can’t wait to read the full story. I love a good read.
The description of my weekend and race is up on my main thread!
Check it out.

Holy shit Bartl! I cry during a move once every 5 years or so and the tears were just streaming as I read your stirring account of the race. Hell I didn’t even cry when I read the horse beating scene in Crime and Punishment. You sure do a phenomenal job of telling a story!
Needless to say I laughed too (more cowbell). After reading every word you typed in the physique clinic thread I got to the point where I felt as though I knew you, a distant friend so to speak (I have no history of stalking). With that in mind, I am so proud of what you have accomplished, you are an inspiration in the truest sense of the word!
I really hope you can get the hammy in order (ART?) and will continue to post your newest exploits. Sincere congratulations and all the best!
Matt

Well done my friend…I lost it when you talked about the other racers telling you are almost there.
Good thing I have a corner desk/office.
Super proud of you!

Dude, I just read your re-counting of the triathalon, and I must say that you, Sir, are the embodiment of MOTIVATION. I congratulate you on everything you have achieved, and hope that if you’re ever out in Maine, we can get together for a few beers (I’m buying).
Rock on, man!

Thanks a lot Matt. This clinic has reminded me of my love to write, which I did a lot of as a kid. So that is a great compliment, one of which I gladly accept.
It means I did my job of conveying my feelings and emotions to you the reader.
Thanks again my friend…

Thanks meechel, I hope I did the Washingtonians proud!
Great job on the race Chris! You are truly an inspiration and a great role model of what can really be achieved if you put your heart into it. Props to you my man!
BTW, I’ve always enjoyed reading your PC thread the most, it is just damn entertaining and fun. Much success to your new career as a Trainer! Take care Bro!
I second the ART recommendation. Love my ART Dr.
That was, without question, the best “my first triathlon” story I have ever read. Pam and pee in the wetsuit. YEAH! Bare asses and beer drinking on the course. I gotta go to California do that tri! The bum knee - what can I say. Heal up for the next one. And I am truly honored to have been mentioned in your story. All I did was give you some lame tips and make some smart ass comments.
You are a triathlete.
You earned the title. Only one percent of the population can call themselves that. Welcome to the club.
