Hey Bartl!
Since you talked about the pit in your last post (a friend of mine is a big metal head) and I was just wondering if you’ve ever been part of a wall of death?
I’m sure I have and haven’t even known it.

One tip for your next set of pictures…
LOSE THE BEARD! Everything else about your transformation looks awesome, but the beard looks like shit and hides your newly refined jawline. If you like them, maybe try a foo-manchu…those look really cool on bald guys.
Your the first person who doesn’t like the beard. Sorry, but I’m not shaving it. Heres why:
I like it
the girl I have started hanging out with likes it
you lose

Bartl, I just read about the circumstances you were dealing with prior to your Physique Clinic. Congratulations on your re-birth. You have a powerful story, and you should be very proud. Following what you have accomplished, you can accomplish anything.
You and I believe in the same thing.
Do you have any goals for your triathlon? time wise or position wise? I ask because i gather your competitive so may want to do more than just finish. Reminds me of myself, keep on training hard, slimlinebartl- bad joke.
I just quit smoking too(cold turkey), lol…I find myself listening to more angry music during my workouts nowadays! you have a wicked good story( I’m in Maine and allowed to say ‘wicked.’)
oh and my vote is that the beard stays…not that that means much lol
You have really proven a lot of people wrong, huh?
Don’t you just love when people doubt you so much…I don’t know about you, but it makes me want to work that much harder just to rub it in there faces!

Hey Ironman. Great questions and it is something I have been thinking about when training. I have been doing a lot of visualization about the race and I know I am going to finish but I am just trying to see where I finish.
As for times, this might be ambitious, but I want to do the swim in around 45 minutes, the bike in about 60 and the run in about 70. I don’t even know if those are good times or not. I know I can do the run in under 60 minutes now, but that is starting with the run. Whether or not I can do the run in under 60 minutes after swimming and biking is another story.

all you had to do was say “wicked” and I knew you were from the upper east coast.
I actually had to listen to a lot of Interpol when I first quite smoking, it helped me chill out because I was fired up ALL the time.
And yes, I love proving people wrong
Actually not “from,” here…we are Navy transplants and go where they tell us too, lol…next stop is MD! Then I won’t be able to refer to everything as ‘wicked.’ lol
199… 199… the anticipation is killing me! lol! I know you’ll break the 200 mark tomorrow!! I’m sending positive vibes… :O)! Have a super day!

Just think, if you ever get the west coast you could start saying ‘bro’ or ‘dude’ every other word.

I’m from CA, lol…
Bartl brother, you are kicking ass!
I’ve been following you from the beginning and I had faith all along. Maybe because I’m also a punk rock loving snowboarder… And I’ve been called a smart ass more than once myself. You gotta root for your own team!
Note about pictures:
Keep it real man.
Congradulations dude, keep up the good work !!! You can really be proud of yourself.

Ok, I know. I’m white and need a tan. Like I said, it’s beach season and I plan on hitting the beach. What’s the point of fake n baking when it’s sunny and 75 outside?

Thanks. I am proud of what I have done so far but can’t wait to see what I can do in the future with my new body!
