Physical Job Plus Lifting

I work a really physical job (tree maintenance). I recently went from 195 to 230 over about 6 months (have since cut to 215). The only thing I would add is that I do better training first thing a.m… Otherwise, when I’m dragging my ass home at the end of a particularly brutal day becomes pretty easy to talk yourself out of training. On the other hand if I just roll out of bed and head to the gym before I get a chance to think about it I find I can stay much more consistent. Then again I’m really old (32) while you’re still 18, so maybe this doesn’t apply.

Best of luck Man, I have a metabolism like a jack rabbit and did landscaping 5x week 12 hour days two summers ago. After lifting and a full day of hauling rock I ate until I couldn’t and that was just to maintain. Eat as much as you can on breaks and try to get all the liquid kcals you can.

There is a very simple solution to your dilemma. WAKE UP EARLIER… train in the morning before work. You will feel full of energy all day and will want to go to sleep earlier at night. badabang solved
