Phot Shoot Q

J-Dawg,

Go knock their socks off you’ll be fine, and don’t sweat these prissy little bitches.

I am saying if someone is working for another company but is posting info for another supplement company he or she may have a contract.

Trish, I know that was a misprint: Biotech??? Just kidding, girlfriend. You know T-Rock and the games he likes to play.

You’ve all seen J-Bird, he’s a T-Freque fo’ sho’! I’m just fixing to help him drop any excess water and gradually deplete the glycogen stores while keeping those muscle fibers juiced up.

Now, I’m going to vouch for the J-Bird here. He’s definitely a bird of very cool feather. He’s extremely proud of his awesome accomplishments and has every right to be.

G-Berg, bro, you and I both know that the only reason you’d be jealous of anyone is if he had a crapload of Hooter’s wings with a Hooter’s girl or something;-)

El Tigre, great input, bro. I personally feel that J-Bird need not be concerned about dropping fat. That’s why I’m suggesting kcals be kept high. Good rec for the HIIT.

Maybe you answered this. I may have missed it. But this is the big question: DO YOU USE THE SUPPLEMENTS OF THE COMPANY WHO’S PAYING YOU? If so, great. If the answer is no, well, you represent many of the things wrong with this industry. And no, “gettin’ paid” does not justify lying and deceiving others.

janderstein …

Just be fucking happy you are not posing on a SWISS BALL for these pics…then you’d REALLY be getting toasted…

Good for you man, good luck!

wow lots of feedback, I must first address t-diddy. Bro I like your plan, but would you mind if I suggest a little something. I really dont want to ditch the oats/apple combo pre workout, as I feel I work best with those carbs, I like the liquid and whole food meal the same, although I am thinking of gradually reducing the whole foods CHO, nothing big, just a little bit every week. I really like the idea of the rest of the meals being p-f, and to tell you the truth I set the wheels in motion with that today. But I still want your feedback on this approach, and am very interested to hear what you think. By the way how did the test go? Also bro, I have been doing some research on depleting and reducing water, and am also eager to hear yourt input here as well. To all of those who had kind words to say thank you very much, and for those who had Q’s I did not answer I am sorry, and for the people who didnt really have anything positive to say, I am sorry also for the fact that I am the type of person who chooses to ignore rather than respond. I know one gentleman asked what I am eating well my plan as of now is
meal 1: 60 g oats, 1 apple, protein drink
meal 2:PW 60g dextrose, protein drink
meal 3: 12 oz. yam, 1 chicken breast
meal 4: 300 g tuna salad, 1tbls flax oil
meal 5: 1 salmon filet 300g broccoli
meal 6: 2tbsp nut butter, protein drink
thats it, and now I must have that yummy meal 6 thanks for the help guys and girls:)

Hate to say it ('cause I think that J’s in great shape), but I share Patricia’s questions and Paul T.'s concerns. Given that J has asked for help here, I don’t think it’s inappropriate to ask a question back.

So here it is: Do you or do you not use the company in question’s supps?

J-Bird, I see you’re going to be quite stolid in your ways, my friend. I’ll refrain from stubborn, due to the negative connotations associated with such:-)

Anyway, it’s quite obvious to me that you can achieve an outstanding physique with a decent amount of carbohydrate in your diet. Your plan, as proposed, will be fine for now.

The primary reason I was proposing the replacement of carbohydrate with fat was to gradually deplete muscle glycogen so that you didn’t have to go through whole-body depletion workouts, as well as no- to low-carb dieting during that phase.

Since you’re keeping carbs as such, I’m going to hypothesize that we’ll ultimately need to go ahead with the depletion workouts coupled with a low-carb nutritional scheme for a couple days towards the end.

Your food choices are golden, and your approach will be fine. When you start reducing carbohydrate, either replace those kcals with protein or fat. I don’t want you dropping kcals at all. You’re too lean and muscular already to sacrifice any of that!

ok ill say it. Im calling bullshit. I know this will make somebody mad but oh well. companies just dont hire unknowns to endorse a product. it kinda defeats the purpose doesnt it?

You’re right, T: It is BIOPLEX that we use in conjunction with Biotest. Ooops.

okay first off I am not doing some major endorsement, it is just that company which I will choos not to disclose is asking me to promote a product of there which I used to achieve my physique goals. Thet are not asking me to be there spokesperson or anything, they just want to shoot a commercial, and run some magazine ads, really not a big deal and maybe if you could have seen or heard where I have came from you would understand. To tell you the truth I am more excited about taking my body to another level, than I am about money, oppurtunities, and anything else that may come from this. This is just what I needed and wanted, a reaon other than my own personal satisfaction and passion to take my body to a point it has not been yet.
Timbo, thanks my man for being so understanding, I know it must be frustrating for someone as knowledgable as yourself to deal with someone as stubborn as myself, but the fact that you are still willing to work with me and assist me shows that awesome character that you possess and shed upon others. Now you spoke of a depletion, and I have done one of those before, ouch. When I did mine it was three days worth of 0 carbs, I mean the only carbs I could have gotten was from the chewing gum I was knawing on, this felt like poop, but it did some excellent things to the body, however I dont think I carbed up properly, what is your take on this approach?

I just wanted do drop in again and once again thank those who have been positive with there reply’s, it is really nice to hear such kind things, and in a world where sometimes it may seem that good people are far and few in between I am glad to see that there are plenty on this site, thanks folks. And Timbo, I cant tell you how really appreciative I am bro, you are awesome my man, thanks again, now I better go do what I do best, and that is hit the weight stack, man I tell you what I was talking to a family friend, who had spent some time in jail, and just hearing him tell me about how they used to hit the iron has given me this burning sensation in my chest, man I step into the gym and I picture walking into the “yard”, like he ahd described, and this guy was in San Quention and Pelican Bay, probably the two roughest prisons in california, but anyway, I am starting to get in that lifting frame of mind, so I better jam before I break this keyboard over my head:)

if even you wont tell, wont we eventually see your picture anyway?

janderstein, the issue I have is that you said on the photo forum that you only used protein and viatmins to achieve your look. You state on this thread that you will be part of an advertising campaign for a company whose products you used to achieve your look. Do they make protein or vitamins? I’m not busting your chops, just curious. I don’t think you’d do one of those phony ads where you claim their products made you what you are, but I was curious about what the product was, or at least what KIND of product ie protein, ZMA etc. I don’t read the mainstream mags anyway and one of the reasons why is that I got sick of the garbage, including the nonsense spouted by the supp companies. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to support them.

I personally would accept money and supplements from other companies if offered. I’d still spend some of the money at Biotest, and wouldn’t switch to another brand or anything. I’d make a Dodge commercial even though I’d never own one. People who buy a product just because of a picture are easily influeced anyway, it isn’t going to stop whether this guy is in the picture or some roid head. Do you really thing that the pros get that big from NitroTech? I’d take the cash and anything else I could get out of them. Just my 1/2 cent opinion.

my only point was that there are thousands of out of work bodybuilders who know how to get ready for photo shoots. why didnt they get one of them? why get some one who is not that experienced? it just doesnt seem like good business to me.

Think about it Goldberg, the average Joe will never believe that he can look like Jay Cutler or Ron Coleman. He also does not want to believe that he actually has to WORK to achieve his goals. However, if you have a before picture and a great transformation story, that they can conceive and believe in. They aren?t going to print J-Dawgs work out or interview him on how he busted his ass. They will throw up his pictures and say “He used to be fat or skinny, He ate our shit, now he looks great” and that will sell bottles of product.

In my case the before and after pictures would show pictures of my wallet and me being hung upside down and shook to make sure they got all of the change out. Most of the supp companies out there deserve a good solid cock punch.

Gee Merry Christmas, J-Bird! The ruckus you’ve cause:-) I love it, man, I love it.

You know you da man.

Anyway, enough with the compliments. My head is swelling:-) Seriously, J-Bird, you know I just love to help out my family. I’d do the same for anyone out here!

Yes, the depletion that you speak of is what we’re going to have to do since you want to keep carbs moderate for now.

Let’s say the shoot is on a Friday. Saturday, Sunday and Monday will be depletion workouts and very-low carbs. I would probably allot for 30-50g of carbs, but from veggies only. Your water intake will also be high on those days, at approximately 2 gallons per day. Continue to keep protein high (i.e. 2g/lb) and meet your caloric needs with good fats.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be days of complete rest from exercise. On these days, 1g/lb of protein should be adequate. Your carbohydrate intake is going to by sky-high on these days. I have to work out some numbers, but the first day will be something like 10g of carbs per kg of lean body weight. We shall also taper your water intake. More specifics later (I’ve got to hold you by a string, you know).

Carbohydrate choice will also be particular, which we will also discuss later.

Keep training like a beast, J, and keep yourself locked onto the Vision.

Oh I didnt know that only heavyweight Olympia competitors were considered bodybuilders. I thought that guys that were middle weights and light heavy weights were also considered bodybuilders.
