Phil Heath

There’s an old story about a young aspiring BBer who gets the chance to meet his idol, Shawn Ray, and asks him the million dollar secret to his success question… “what exercises do you do to get so big?!”

Shawn’s Reply: “The same ones as you man, the same ones as you.”

I asked for his routine but it is nice to see everyone acting like we needed yet another lesson in steroid use and the effects.

You know…because the rest of us are clueless.

Apparently you are if you think knowing Phil Heath’s arm routine is going to make or break your development.

Lee Priest proportioned arms on a guy who isnt even short is awesome. I dont know if he has beaten Coleman’s best physique as a whole, but he sure has with arms.

I could probably start a whole 'nother thread of this question, but I’ll give it a shot here to hear what you guys have to say:

Phils Arms, Platz Legs, Ronnies Back, etc…

Certain pro’s seem to have stand out body parts. What is it that determines this? Their training? Their genetics? If Platz coached someone for 20 years could he build crazy, out-of-proportion style wheels on them? Same with Phil and someones Arms?

I am personally inclined to think “no” - You basically end up with a bigger version of what you start with, and certain people just have bigger body parts that respond better than others.

How sayeth the Nation?
Id say it has a lot to do with the mind-muscle link. I think the guys with the stand out bodyparts just feel them more. Like Tom PLatz probably never had a hit-or-miss leg workout in his life. The same could probably be said for Phil and his arms.

I agree. Probably some of the most fully developed arms in history. Top to bottom.

I’m sorry, but where did I write that I am looking to copy his routine for my own development?

Some of you seem to be trying a little too hard to find anything wrong that you can in what gets written here.

It is hilarious that any of you think I needed a lesson in this topic.

Tbh I like Phil’s look more than Ronnie. I always thought Coleman’s front torso genetics were kinda shit. The lagging upper chest, the weird shape lower chest (I think he had gyno?), the ugly abs, the really round obliques. Phil’s physique is definitely more pleasing to the eye. He reminds me of Flex Wheeler, but without the douchebaggery and the synthol.

I prefer Phil’s look over Ronnie’s as well.
Still, I can’t deny Ronnie’s ferocious physique up to and including 2005.

hey… it’s your mind, YOUR money on THEIR DVDs…

I’m not losing or winning anything either way, just think it’s funny that in 2k12 people are still this gullible

maybe buy some rings with your FST7 dvd

Doing an extra 14+ sets per workout, every workout will make a difference

Or maybe doing 14 less sets per workout, every workout, will make the difference, like several past Olympias claimed?

sigh

I guess what I mean is, the amount of size he has gained on those arms is truly insane just since he went pro. I really want to know what his routine usually is to pull that off. I want to know if he does way more volume now…or if he really is just some genetic freak who stumbled upon 15 extra inches on the biceps.
Yes you do look completely clueless when you write something like this implying that his routine is a big reason for his arm size gain since he turned pro.

His arms were already a stand out bodypart, his routine since he turned pro has nothing to do with his arm size improvement (hey did you notice everything else also improved? must be the routine)

Im tired of this FST-7 nectar of god bullshit

If freakin FST-7 had so much impact Cutler’s arms would be Phil’s size by now

^You looked bigger in your old avi

has Phil officially passed Ronnie now? thoughts?

Personally, i think guys like Wollfe, X-man, And dexter jackson still look better, but you have to give respect to the big guys, and Heath may be the biggest right now.

IMO Heath looks way better than Ronnie if you just take separate pics and compare but if you put him next to Coleman he would look a bit small, which would hurt him

I also think Flex Wheeler looked better than Heath

Will see how much more he can improve though
