According to some of these guys here, asking about the point where Yates’ dramatic improvements due to training in a more abbreviated, Heavy Duty manner would be stupid. Nah, his change in training certainly wasn’t the reason!
Wasn’t it due to nutritional and timing adjustments before the 93’ Olympia that contributed to his dramatic size in comparison to his 92’ olympia package, also within that time, did he not lessen his overall training volume to one all out working set instead of two?

Sorry for the derail.

'zackly! From 2 down to one is a 50% reduction.

Sprinkle in a few more posts from Prof X that absolve himself from all blame/responsibility in this whole process. A couple more digs at posters without actually saying any names (even though everyone knows who he’s talking about)

Posts that have occurred since…

If ANYONE else had asked about Phil’s routine, this would not have happened…and that means the problem isn’t what was written.
Professor X wrote:
You missed it? Even talking about his routine at all is now stupid. If you even dare discuss his routine alone, it means you “imply” that steroids have little to no effect and that you hate steroids.

Oh, it also means you are obese.

High school clique shit.

Professor X wrote:
Also, lol at anyone trying to make it seem like the goal is to avoid any discussion of steroids. If your goal in this thread was to focus on what I wrote instead of the topic, you are a part of the fucking problem…because asking about a pros training routine is what people do on bodybuilding websites. No one would have objected to a random discussion about drug use. Acting like your goal was NOT to do the same “Prof X Hunt” bullshit is retarded. Everyone can see that.
LOL… I was WAY off.
In the words of Zraw…

FUCKING LOL

Man… that was weird, Hanban.

lol

LOL at greg dominating this thread. This thread like so many had great potential and instead just got smashed to shit by the usual crap

LOL Steely!

I guess what I mean is, the amount of size he has gained on those arms is truly insane just since he went pro. I really want to know what his routine usually is to pull that off. I want to know if he does way more volume now…or if he really is just some genetic freak who stumbled upon 15 extra inches on the biceps.
More likely just found a new drug combo that he is responding positively to for now. Don’t think any amount of “new” exercise technique really makes that much of a difference at his level and experience.

Saw him years ago at the Nationals in the lobby, dude has the best arms I have ever seen.

My post wasn’t directed at you audio. It was directed at people who thought that calves actually could like look Aaron Baker’s in that photo, and are not a result of an oil bolus.
Way, as I mentioned previously, there are anomalies of all sorts in nature.
Check out Aaron’s videos sometime. His calves look normal… until he flexes.

Plus, look at Arnold’s fucked-up looking calf. His looked normal until he flexed as well.

I could name a list of pros past who display fucked-up, abnormal bodyparts.
Hey, it’s bodybuilding and it’s supposed to be extreme.

Agreed…and this is common in the health field. “Different” does not mean “fake” in all cases, especially when I showed the back of his calves around the same time period and they look fine in that different pose…but of course, I suddenly don’t know anything.

HATER

A gap in a muscle belly is completely different than a knot of oil causing a circular protrusion. It’s called an oil bolus. Like I said, if any of you have ever injected before you would know what I’m talking about and what it looks like. This isn’t even debatable.

LOL you don’t even realize you are proving my point…what a smart one you are.

You mean…after the SEO was absorbed by the body his calves returned to a normal shape?!

GASP!!!

And no Prof X you really don’t know anything. Go preach some more GOMAD and burgers to noobies and watch the bulk fails spring up again. I’m not sure why you keep trying to sound like a BBing authority.

Pfffft, you’re a joke.

Even Mentzer had an odd-ball calf. Seems like some guys show a protuberance at the bottom when flexed.

jesus christ. This is NOTHING even remotely similar to what was shown in that picture of AB.

The bottom line is, this is like everyone screaming “gyno” when they see someone’s nipples not shaped the same as their own. There are variances of normal. It doesn’t ALWAYS mean synthol and accusing someone without knowing for sure is ridiculous.

I am no pro and have average calfs at best… But my right calf has a weird knot/lump that pops out when I flex. Like half a golf ball? It’s so weird hahaha. It only pops out when I flex my calf by pulling my foot up.

^^doesnt really impact the thread, just a fun fact… Well actually probably not even that fun really? Lame

PICS PLEEEEEZE!

I witnessed Mentzer’s calves up-close back in '79 and they were the biggest/weirdest calves I’ve ever seen. I haven’t seen calves with a “ball” at the bottom since!

Please post a pic, Greg!
