If you didn’t mean to imply that Phil’s routine was largely responsible for his arm size, than I misinterpreted it. My apologies. But this sounds pretty cut and dry to me.
Also, his routine is pretty vanilla. Nothing new there, so I’m not sure how long we could have discussed that for anyhow. This makes for a far more interesting thread.
To me “routine” doesn’t just mean training. Diet is a routine, his drugs are part of his routine, everything you do is part of your routine. If I were to ask you, “what’s your morning routine?” would you only tell me about morning workouts?
If he was doing his arm workout, then injecting test in each arm followed by eating 3 pounds of rice, all of that would be included in his routine. But maybe that’s just me. Maybe we should just assume he meant lifting exclusively and assume he was implying that the lifting was the only thing that made the difference, then proceed to berate his ignorance based on those assumptions.

Yes, you understand correctly. This is our viewpoint.

Correct, roids and prayers to the trengod + satanic rituals

If that were the case there would be no problem with steroid usage being discussed in this thread. It was mentionned several times that the subject shouldve been TRAINING
Also, I fail to see how this is derailing the thread, when the thread subject is “Phil Heath”
You just mad that the thread now is about Phil Heath and pros drug use instead of the allmighty 3sets of preacher curls 3sets of inclined curls 3sets of db curls that Phil used before going with Hany
Also, lol at anyone trying to make it seem like the goal is to avoid any discussion of steroids. If your goal in this thread was to focus on what I wrote instead of the topic, you are a part of the fucking problem…because asking about a pros training routine is what people do on bodybuilding websites. No one would have objected to a random discussion about drug use. Acting like your goal was NOT to do the same “Prof X Hunt” bullshit is retarded. Everyone can see that.

Sprinkle in a few more posts from Prof X that absolve himself from all blame/responsibility in this whole process. A couple more digs at posters without actually saying any names (even though everyone knows who he’s talking about)
… And there you have it! The way all these threads go.

Posts that have occurred since…

If ANYONE else had asked about Phil’s routine, this would not have happened…and that means the problem isn’t what was written.

You missed it? Even talking about his routine at all is now stupid. If you even dare discuss his routine alone, it means you “imply” that steroids have little to no effect and that you hate steroids.
Oh, it also means you are obese.
High school clique shit.
I guess what I mean is, the amount of size he has gained on those arms is truly insane just since he went pro. I really want to know what his routine usually is to pull that off. I want to know if he does way more volume now…or if he really is just some genetic freak who stumbled upon 15 extra inches on the biceps.
Well, his routine from a couple of years ago looked like this.
Rope pushdowns 3x12
Decline dumbbell extensions 3x12
Dips 3x12
EZ-bar curls 3x10-12
Alternate dumbbell curls 3x10-12
Spider curls 3x10-12
Concentration curls 3x10-12
If that’s it, I’m shocked.
Lee priest would train arms for an hour straight.
I was shocked as well. But Phil was high volume in the early days. He got a handle on recovery concepts later and reduced volume, but was a stickler on form.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
It looks like it went to Hell shortly after this exchange.

I never said anything about what the subject should have been, never said I had a problem with discussing drug usage, never said that drug discussion was derailing anything, never said I disliked the subject (other than the pointless bickering and semantics). Oh, I can add one thing I donâ??t like in the thread though, people making up shit about me.
But if you want to get into it, it seems far dumber to me to make the outright claim that Phill’s diet and training haven’t changed since going pro than to possibly imply that his arm growth is due to training changes.
It would also seem to me, that if he did in fact change his drug protocol since going pro, his training would have altered to match his increased recovery ability and his diet would have changed because of changing caloric needs. If I were to go from natural to using, I would expect my diet and training to change in response to my new needs and ability. Would it not be the same for someone going to a higher dose or new drugs? But I’m just a recreational lifter, I’m sure I don’t know.
According to some of these guys here, asking about the point where Yates’ dramatic improvements due to training in a more abbreviated, Heavy Duty manner would be stupid. Nah, his change in training certainly wasn’t the reason!
Ditto with David Henry who made his best gains after switching to DC training. Of course DC wasn’t responsible for his growth.

Damn, Greg raped the living fuck out of this thread.
How about all of y’all grow the fuck up? Or man up. Either one is not that difficult.
I promise, it’s much easier to ignore/skip a post than to keep on with this mundane bullshit.
Every single post LIKE MINE or Greg’s ALSO is what contributes towards the dissolution of quality of this forum, as well as the obvious chest-pounding and what have you. Jesus H Christ people, you are all fucking babies.
