Phil Heath

‘THE QUESTION’ was either an idiotic statement which said that Phil’s routine was any paradigm shift in his progress, or just a terribly worded one, which despite having other intentions, said exactly that.

You can’t go to a fucking FORUM, write A, have people read A, and then cry and insult everyone for not having read it as ‘B’.

Man, I am so sick of this ‘have been doing this shit for years’ bullshit.

How many times have you stepped on stage? I mean, dude, you just look FAT to 99% of the population.

I mean, you’re not even a strength athlete, I don’t even know how you can justify being so fat. You’re clearly unhealthy as shit, as evidenced by the Colorado videos.

So this ‘I’ve been doing it longer’ doesn’t mean SHIT. Especially when you’re talking with Way… You know, the guy with 100lbs of lbm on you, that’s ACTUALLY doing a show, and from the looks of it is going to murder it.

We’ve seen this a million times already.

Prof X says something that comes across to some as ill-informed/niave/uneducated/whatever.

Someone will be off put by one of Prof X’s comments and they will think "ah ha! This is my chance to prove him wrong/“call him out” about it… And so the saga begins.

Instead of clearing up the situation by saying (using this current “discussion” as an example) “I understand drug use plays a role in professional bodybuilding, what I am wondering though is if he has made an changes to his routine that he has felt really helped his development.” (said in a non condescending, non-profanity laced manner… You know, they way human beings should speak to one another)

Prof X then proceeds to post in a very defensive manner, questions the other posters intelligence/reading comprehension/mental capacity… Therefor dumping 5 gallons of gas on a smoldering campfire. It could have easily been put out before but not now.

Now the accusing posters buddies all jump in and gang up Prof X. They say how he’s just fat/perma-bulker/can’t do lunges/looks like whatever… Usually bringing up things that don’t even have to do with the involved thread.

Now Prof X’s buddies all jump in and gang up on the other guys gang and say that they are trolling/derailing threads/have no pictures/don’t know what they’re talking about/aren’t sticking to the topic/causing a huge decline in the forums/whatever.

Sprinkle in a few more posts from Prof X that absolve himself from all blame/responsibility in this whole process. A couple more digs at posters without actually saying any names (even though everyone knows who he’s talking about)

Rinse & Repeat a few more times… And there you have it! The way all these threads go.

Just give it a rest. No one here is going to “Win” this. Neither side will see eye to eye. All it is doing is driving these forums down and causing people to not post/not want to post… And it’s BOTH SIDES FAULT.

There is no point to it.

That’s just my take on it… But what do I know?

This is why you see me bail out of so many threads. I love discussing bodybuilding (the sports side and the training side) and nutrition, but I refuse to get involved in these sh-tstorms.

I respect both sides of the PED coin, giving equal respect to the two camps, but do readily acknowledge what I know well, and what I do not. I also understand that certain aspects of the sport are widespread, and not even worth discussing, as it’s a pretty level playing field as far as who has access to what.

Sometimes, you just need to accept that other people will never reneg on comments made, or back down from opinions or positions. I’ve learned that it’s pretty pointless to try and change this fact.

With that said,… I’ve been amazed that Phil has continued to improve every year he’s been competing so far. Whatever the reasoning (most likely just time IMO), I’m looking forward to the 2012 Olympia.

You know how to grow one kick-ass 'stache!

I think that discussing the routine of any pro level bodybuilder is a good idea. The only issue I have with doing that, is how does a non-user run a similar program (as I assume the purpose is to hopefully learn from their workout, adapt it to the reader, and hope to see a new spurt of development)?

I imagine that the pro’s run a lot more volume in their workouts as they are able to due to better recovery capabilities. How does one evaluate that for their own use? Look at the specific exercises, identify specifically what each targets/works and then reduce volume across the board? Do they keep the volume and lower the weight, etc.?

You see it all the time in the big name magazines. Pro’s post their programs (and unless fake b.s.) and the average joe gives them a run. Most average joe’s don’t see improvement beyond the initial stimulus of change and burn out. I’ve actually seen guys in gyms with a Muscle Mag doing a program straight from it, for multiple weeks, and make 0 noticeable improvements.

TLDR: I guess my question is how do you adjust said program once you know what it is?

Dude, if the posters doing this in nearly every thread wanted to stop this it would stop now.

I haven’t insulted anyone in this thread. This will continue to happen no matter what I write because NOTHING was wrong with asking about Phil Heath’s training…so what will it be next?

Can we get to the pictures of Breasts?

I love discussing bodybuilding also…but it is becoming very clear that some here just won’t allow that. I’ve pointed that out before…if these same people will act like this no matter what I write, it will continue.

If ANYONE else had asked about Phil’s routine, this would not have happened…and that means the problem isn’t what was written.

BTW, any of you remember MorePain? He created a thread over a year ago detailing his site enhancement protocol to improve his arms through the use of low dosed, short estered AAS. If you’re curious, search his posts. You can bet if something like that is being posted by a non competitive lifter on this straight-edged website, it’s all over the place.

I lol’d at how accurate that was gregron haha

Whats wrong is not asking about Phil’s arms training. Whats wrong is you implying with your question that 1)Phil’s arms started growing freakishly after he turned pro (which isnt the case and I posted pictures for that) and that 2)His training was the major factor for that growth

You were explained this by many posters, myself included. Some of the people explained that without respect, some with great respect

You ignored all this

And for what its worth with your “everyone is tired of this shit” I received PMs thanking me for this thread. Not because they dont like you, but because they feel this is worth discussing just as much as Phil’s magic program

It wouldnt have happened cause the poster wouldnt have acted like a little bitch after I wouldve posted the exact same response I did first. Which was posted with a respectfull tone.

YOu dont love discussing bodybuilding, you love discussing what you know or think you know about bodybuilding meaning bulking and training. There is more to bodybuilding than this.

I guess what I mean is, the amount of size he has gained on those arms is truly insane just since he went pro. I really want to know what his routine usually is to pull that off. I want to know if he does way more volume now…or if he really is just some genetic freak who stumbled upon 15 extra inches on the biceps.[/quote]

“I really want to know what his routine usually is to pull that off”

If you didn’t mean to imply that Phil’s routine was largely responsible for his arm size, than I misinterpreted it. My apologies. But this sounds pretty cut and dry to me.

Also, his routine is pretty vanilla. Nothing new there, so I’m not sure how long we could have discussed that for anyhow. This makes for a far more interesting thread.

Gotcha

So if I Understand correctly, ZRaw, Proud Virgin and Wanderxx are saying on ARM day he did not train in the GYM he strictly did the generic take any sterioid drug protocol? And skipped arms for the last 5 years.

Yes it is very Hollywood with its recycled storylines and sequels.

THIS SUMMER: Professor X and sideckick Iron Dwarf vs Waylander and Zraw: 14. The final battle… and the death of Proud Virgin

COMING SOON: The Return of BONEZ217… In 3D!

You missed it? Even talking about his routine at all is now stupid. If you even dare discuss his routine alone, it means you “imply” that steroids have little to no effect and that you hate steroids.

Oh, it also means you are obese.

High school clique shit.
