Phatman's Rehab Log

We got pounded Sunday, lost 40-18. Damn I hate losing. I ended up not starting but I did get in a couple of series in the 4th quarter. Coaches choice so i stand by my coach, going to work twice as hard in practice this week to get back to the starting line up. We have two weeks off for the 4th, good time to rest the elbows and get ready for the second half of the season!

Too bad a lot of youngsters don’t have your attitude. Guess that’s what “old school” means. Willing to work for what you want. Kick ass on part 2.

Yeah Chief I figure “Why Bitch?” Shit I’m 44 and still playing padded football. That is a blessing and a gift! One play or the whole game I will enjoy whatever I get! The next play might be my last!

Colin, Love the way you think!!

Hells bells, I might need to start officiating again

“Damn the torpedos!” Colin, you still do all the things you love…in my book, you are ahead of the game, not behind it! You enjoy life and all the things it has to offer…heck, most people would be envious of what you do week in/week out…I know I am. Your whole attitude is your strong point, impresses the heck outta me!

Please don’t tell me your lack of posts means you’re leaning towards modeling? How’s your son? Take care.

HAHA No Barry we been losing so I haven’t been posting. We are now 3-4 with 3 games left. If we win 2 of the last 3 then we are in the play offs. My left Triceps has me very worried at this point.

It feels allot like the right one did last year before the tendon came off. I made a appt with the Ortho but can’t get in till next Wed and we have a game Sunday. I will probably tape the crap out of it and play anyway. Hope the tendon is still attached!

Randy is doing good. He will be coming home in Dec and then maybe I can get a full nights sleep!

Careful bro, lookin forward to you chasing that 500 when the seasons over. Randy coming home to stay? Make a hell of a Christmas for you. Good luck on your next games.

Hope its all good news on your tricep Colin.
God Bless your family and Randy.

Ditch the avatar, I want the cue ball.

HAHA, Ok I switched it up put your shades on cuase the sun shines right off my bald dome!

Hey just found out I will be starting this Sunday against Akron! They are moving me out to tackle so I need to get a little faster!

Congrats on the good news Colin…I know you will enjoy yourself on Sunday. Great to hear that all the hard work is really paying off. Good luck on the playoff run.

Thanks for the cue ball change. Rock on against akron, clock a young fuck for me. Rap the tri, be safe, God bless.

That’s a great new avatar.

Congratulations on starting and good luck in the game.

Starting line up, oh yeah! Ditto what barry said. Awesome (I sound so much younger using that word) avatar.

Thanks Men! If we win this one we are basically in the play offs we lose we are out. Huge Game! Looking forward to the competition!

Another loss! Problem is out of a 60 man roaster we only had 25 travel for the game. We just ran out of steam. I played the whole game at LT and played pretty well. Got a pretty nasty hit on a guy during a Interception right on our sideline, gave up one sack. The arm is pretty sore but came through it decent enough. I have an appt Wed to see the Ortho…

Tough way to lose a game Colin. But no losses are easy! LT is a hard spot to play in today’s game without a doubt. Especially the way the speed has increased and the field has been spread with the new wrinkles and looks. A gazillion years ago, when I played, you would have argued that point. With the speed the D line has off the corner and trying to seal down linebackers, sounds like you did a helluva job.

Good luck on the Doc appt. I want to read about your quest for that big ass bench press.

You nailed it J Willy. DE was taking a 9 technique the whole game and was fast as shit. As soon as they got me dropping back to catch him they started blitzing the inside backer. It was tough all day. They were a pretty good team with a tough D.

Colin, I havent played since 1979 and stopped officiating in '88. My last ‘game’ officiating was an intersquad scrimmage with a Div-II team. I was out of my league working at the umpire spot!

I watched the checkdowns and how that interline action worked all day. 10 years later I am still tired from that. With the DE playing a 9…you are a tough rascal to only allow one sack! My hat is off to you!

Do y’all play by NCAA rules or National Federation Rules?
