Phatman's Rehab Log

Thanks Brothers! So cool to have this support I get here! Trust me I am beat the hell up and I keep pushing through thinking about what all you guys are doing! Old? F that come get some!

I have been lifting on off days (off football practice) but to be honest it’s hard to get to the gym the morning after a hard practice. I mostly do blood work, meaning just allot of reps with about 65 - 70% of max. I’m down to 250 and I feel like a small school girl, haha…

I hope this doesn’t crush you but you don’t look like a small school girl. Have a great weekend.

LOL…no he does not, does he?

Colin,

I suspect playin’ practicing, & training, especially in the heat is gonna pare some weight off you. Doesn’t matter how you look compared to whenever…you’ll be fine & who knows, maybe your performance on and off the field will improve…I HOPE SO!!!

Thanks guys. I guess I am the prime example for big mans disease. I always liked the thought of being ripped but I hate when you lose all the size under a shirt. I like walking into a room and getting the stared at because I’m big. (also being able to actually move heavy objects not just look like you can) With all the running and training I’m down to about 247 now. I’m in that in between state where I still have some fat but people are asking me if I still work out, lol. Maybe after football I will diet it all the way down just to see what i look like under all the adipose.

BTW - We lost a tuff one Saturday. Our Defense held them to 6 points but our special teams gave up a second half kick off TD when it was 0-0. We ended up losing 13-0 on two plays but that is football! I got to play about 2 series on D and 2 on O line, about 14 or 15 plays total. Nuthing special to write home about. It was hot as hell!

Come on an fess up. You’re on a super secret diet program to get ready for your speedo photo shot. Actually I empathize with you. As the throwing season progresses I lift less because of the time put in practicing. Feel weaker but throwing farther. Can’t wait to get beck to a good lifting routine again.
Sorry about the loss. Motivation for the next game.

Alright now I am going to do it, I am buying a speedo and posting the picture! When none of you can eat for a week don’t blame me! You brought this all on your self!!!

i just got wood…

When some of the morons that keep posting on several of the threads we frequent see this, OH my.

9-2 Win win Sunday. Our defense has given up only 6 points and 33 total yards in three games.

Warhawks are now 2-1

Randy headed back to Iraq Saturday, please keep him in your prayers.

My prayers be with you, Randy, as well as for your family.

Ditto from the Missouri Mule.

He’s been there the whole time.

28 - 20 Win over the Bruins

Hard fought see saw game all night. I got the start at left guard. We were all tied up 20 - 20 with 40 seconds left and we took it all the way down the field and scored on them! Great feeling last night, seriously sore this morning, lol!

Last minute win, oh yeah! Way to go. Sucks when the adrenalin wears off. Relax and re-coop. Til the next practice at least.

Probably helps the soreness with the win. Way to go bro.

Congrats on another win Colin!

Impressive how you keep training hard with the elbow and ankle issues. Makes my me feel like a pussy complaining about my minor aches. Reading over some older stuff on your blog, I agree with you guys about all the fluff and BS…I only read the 35 and over forum.

Thanks Bro. I recently got a seat at the table with the big boys (Starting spot).I figure I have to be in twice as good a shape to be half as good as my young friends. I do allot of stretching, foam rolling, and myo trigger point therapy to try and stay healthy. We are just about to the half way point in the season. Man does life just go flying past you or what!

I will probably end up paying for this when I’m older but I will have some awesome stories to tell my grand kids when the visit me in my wheel chair! ROFL
