Thanks guys, I am lucky and it’s a very minor case which seems to run a quick course. Had a permanent headache, joint pain and a very mild fever for a day and after that it’s only been going up quickly. So I really can’t complain too much as long as I now get a negative test result soon. This is only my second time (that I now of) and I was MUCH more sick the first time around.

First day back after Corona. Was negative on Sunday but still felt nowhere ready to do stuff like training on Monday. Today was the first day I felt okay again to work and train. It worked out surprisingly well and all weights felt easy. Just very tired and mild headache by the end of it. Stamina and energy is obv. affected from being sick.

I skipped jumps and walking lunges. It was -2°C and the aftermath of covid is still lingering in me so I ommuted what would have stressed the ticket a tad more than I felt comfortable with today. Good session despite the little bit difficult circumstances.

Still suffering a bit from post covid. Way more tired. Quickly exhausted, need to cut corners in training. Just lower energy. Prone to headaches and sweating excessively. Hopefully I will be able tp shake this off next week.

Legs and glutes very sore.

Had to train in the hell of commercial gym chains (for my taste) today. Doing heavy jerks there without chalk was a fever dream, haha. I was a bit claustrophobic with that squat cage and the mirror right in front of me.

So it might be just bad sleep, new years and doing this right after a brunch but it also might still be a bit of post covid. I don’t feel out of breath anymore but like my energy storage isn’t as large anymore. I start out and am fine but then I get a sudden drop off and a headache. And that happened on set 2 here. So I played it safe and skipped the 3rd.

I will treat the first show as an extended offseason effort but we are still prepping for it of course - at least in part.

It is the first weekend of February and the events are:

  1. The big jerk - 3 attempts for a 1 rm (and of course the reason I am doing this show, which is not part of the league, haha)
  2. axle deadlift for max (Standard height) - rising bar in incremeants of 15 kg from 180 kg on (attempts can be skipped)
  3. Manhood stones (anything between 100 and 180 kg in 20 kg steps for reps) - I will very likely not be able to do a stone session before, haha.
  4. Conan’s wheel.

I spent the most romantic awesome weekend with my new partner in a wooden cabin at the edge of the woods, snowed in. With a nice outdoor kitchen, a stove inside and a sauna in a cabin nearby. This was such a treat! Even though we only stayed 3 days, it truly felt like a vacation. Just walks through snowy woods and fields, cuddling beside the fire place and lots of quality time, laughs and romance. This was a gift to me for christmas and it couldn’t have been better!

Thw switch to today was harsh though as it was a busy and a bit stressful day today. We left our little winter oasis very early so I could get my training in before my appointments today. I unfortunately slept pretty bad this last night and we went to bed way later than planned. I was pressed for time in training and had to skip one set + one exerciye. Still got shit done.
