-The weekend was exhausting. Today I was home at 9.30 pm for the first time that day. Holy fuck I am done. This session was hard.
- the knee was bothering me a bit more today. Made me hesitant on the first log set. Then I had a bit of a talk with myself and told me to stop being such a whimp and ignore that noise! I attacked the other three sets accordingly and had strength and time left on each set.
- you should listen to your body. But sometimes you need to tell it to shut the fuck up already!

- In a very crazy time crunch today. So I couldn’t do the full session. Left work early and immediately jumped into a train after.
- Now off to Leipzig for a guy’s weekend, which was a birthday present to two friends from the group. The main objective would be to get shit faced. Since next week is my last heavy week before comp, I will however do my best to limit alcohol. I don’t want to ruin my chance to PR and end the prep on a high.
- will just try to let the knee rest and attack again next week. I am not too worried. I am purposely not trying to diagnose it before comp. It will work out.

Mixed bag. Not gonna lie, I want that 150 front squat! Today should have been that day but warm ups already felt heavy and the back was just too fatigued. Will have this next time!
Log was a bit all over the place at first but this is 1 kg over contest weight and should give decent confidence going i.
raining PR’s in here lately, what has changed in your training / recovery ?
Well not many “absolute” PRs yet but many total volume PRs, so the first ones are right around the corner.
I guess the coaching is working well tbh. Paul’s plans seem to be coming together and now the fruits of the labor are ready for collection.
I will say though, I am training very hard atm. Even though my program before contained more stuff, this one is actually much harder and demanding. My body is feeling it now in the peak before comp. Which is inevitable.
My recovery is actually rather poor because I don’t sleep enough and stress is high. The only conscious recovery things I do are a hot bath once a week and I try to go to the spa for a few hours somewhat regularely (1-3 times a month). I also have a high average stept count. And I eat a ton, haha.
