1 paused log power jerk (clean once)
3 x 5 @ 70 kg
2 deadlift
4 x 3 @ 207,5 kg
100% pain free and these actually felt fantastic today! Very strong throughout all sets.
3 seated btn press (no back support)
3 x 6 @ 62,5 kg
4 btn lat pull down
2 x 12 @ 55 kg
1 x 12 @ 50 kg
5 forearm gauntlet
5 x 10/ 20 sec
Wrist curls @ 25 kg/ bw hang
Going back and forth between those without rest. The pump was brutal. The intention is to prepare the forearms for the arm over arm.

1 front squats
2 x 3 @ 130 kg
2 x 2 @ 130 kg
Fail in third rep, didn’t go for it in fourth. Should still be an overall volume PR.
2 log lift (clean all reps)
4 x 3 @ 103 kg
Tried doing some power jerks here but confident to commit to it isn’t there yet.
3 counter box jump
5 x 2
4a paused ghd back extensions (barbell btn)
3 x 10 @ 30 kg
4b unilateral L-sit
3 x 25 sec per leg

1 stiff leg deadlift (beltless)
3 x 6 @ 155 kg
2 stone loads
5 x 2 @ 80 kg
1 x 3 @ 103 kg
First time touching a stone since last summer.
3 keg carry
6 x 10 meter EMOM @ 90 kg
4 stiff leg bent over row
3 x 12 @ 72,5 kg
Good session. Sad to see the power jerks and cleans go but I can’t bring the stones to the gym so home training it is and also we need to prioritize.

1 log lift (clean once)
3 x 5 @ 98,5 kg
Tried some power jerks again. It worked sometimes
2 front squat
3 x 5 @ 120 kg
Hit the safeties hard on the first rep of the last set. Had to re rack after four and take 20 seconds before the fifth.
3 farmer’s walk
3 x 20 m @ 125,5 kg
The deadlift portion felt hard but very happy with the walks and especially the grip today.
4a snatch grip rdl
3 x 10 @ 135 kg
This was fucking agony at this point
4b high incline db press
3 x 8 @ 37,5 kg
Aspiring to reach @Cyrrex levels.

I mean, that is already some great repping right there.

1 paused log power jerks
4 x 5 @ 73,5 kg
Forgot the pauses on set 1, so did an extra.
2 deadlift
1 @ 200 kg lwu
3 x 3 @ 212,5 kg
Not PR territory yet but solid.
3 seated btn press (no back support)
3 x 6 @ 65 kg
4 btn lat pull down
3 x 12 @ 55 kg
5 forearm gauntlet
Wrist curls / bw hang
5 x 10 @ 25 kg / 5 x 22 sec

1 front squats
3 x 2 @ 132,5 kg (PR)
2 log lift
3 @ 106 kg (cleach each - felt way stronger than expected!)
2 @ 106 kg - hurt my biceps
3 @ 106 kg (one clean with belt cheat to take stressof the biceps)
4 @ 106 kg (same)
I didn’t feel/ hear a pop but a “scrunch”.
3 arm over arm pull
3 x Ca. 14 m @ 260 kg
Did it in a way that my biceps could handle. Mostly I was just frustrated and pushed through.
4 counter box jump
5 x 2
Maybe a partial tear. Maybe less bad. I tell you… I have had better preps.
Right now it just feels like for every step forward, I take two back.
I am quite devastated. Maybe I’ll have more words tomorrow, maybe this will be minor. Who knows so far. Might very well be an early end to this prep. Or most of my competition plans. Might not.

I would guess between a grade 1 and grade 2 strain of the distal tendon. Grade 1 would be doable for the comp.
For now we will train around it.

And that’s way more than a lot of other people would do. Sending prays and a whole lot of healing energy.

Really sorry to hear about another set back, frustrating news!

Thank you @QuadQueen @alex_uk !
Today is a good bit less pain than yesterday also no increase in other symptoms, which lets me lean towards a grade 1 tendon strain. I am trying to remain cautiously optimistic..

Happy international fighting day of the working class!
The day started with the protest march of course which was in full sun and heat, so quite exhausting. Training was afterwards.
1 strict btn press (standing)
3 x 10 @ 40 kg
very light…
2 straight leg deadlift (beltless)
3 x 6 @ 160 kg
easy
3 stones…
3 x 3 @ 80 kg
I could influence through my technique how much this was hurting my biceps
Tried the 103 kg (regular size) stone - an absolute no from my biceps.
4 zercher squats (beltless, flats)
6 @ 100 kg
2 x 6 @ 110 kg
As a stone workaround - actually no issue with the biceps
5 sprints
15 x 10 m (ca. 30 sec rest)
Lol… keg work around. My body was giving me all the feedback here (wtf you doing). xD

1 log lift (clean once)
2 x 4 @ 101 kg
2 x 5 @ 101 kg
Used the belt trick for the clean to minimize stress on the injured tendon. Unfortunately I can’t do that in comp (weird German rule).
Lacked stability because the biceps just got in my head.
2 front squat
2 x 5 @ 122,5 kg
1 x 4 @ 122,5 kg
Also due to biceps. But 3rd time squatting this week. So solid. Very possibly PR.
3 farmer’s walk
4 x 15 m @ 128 kg per hand
I am in possibly my best shape ever here or rather close. The picks were super slow grinds though. Done from the week. Grip was a vice.
4a high incline db press
3 x 10 @ 37,5 kg
4b snatch grip rdl
3 x 10 @ 137,5 kg
I though “Go insert a cactus, Paul!” on every rep.

Yeaterday posterior chain fatigue was still at a solid 8.5/10. So I decided to hit the spa and it helped massively!
I am tired going into this. Sleep wasn’t great. Anxious for the deadlifts
1 paused log power jerk (clean once)
3 x 5 @ 76 kg
2 deadlift
3 x 3 @ 217,5 kg
Total volume wise this could actually be a PR. Not sure. But very happy how these are moving lately.
3 seated btn press (no back support)
3 x 6 @ 65 kg
4 btn lat pull down
3 x 12 @ 55 kg
5 forearm gauntlet
Wrist curls/ bw hang (no pauses between exercises or rounds)
5 x 10 @ 25 kg/ 5 x 22 sec.
Notes:
everything said, I think. Deadlifts were hard (as they are above 180 kg) but moved smooth. Happy about that

1 keg clean and press
10 x 1 EMOM @ 90 kg
Not done in a year. Refamiliarizing myself with the implement and technique. Generally/ historically a very good event for me.
2 stiff leg deadlift (beltless)
3 x 6 @ 165 kg
Despite the fatigue still easy. Even easier than last week.
3 atlas stones
3 x 3 @ 80 kg
2 x 3 @ 103 kg
4 keg carry
10 x 10 m @ 90 kg EMOM
Skipped rows to reduce stress on the biceps.
I did feel the biceps a bit today but well within range so I remain hopeful and optimistic!
Back fatigue is very high though. I need to keep going for a bit longer before we drop off some fatigue drivers.
Video tomorrow because I have no internet at home currently.
