Funny thing, I was feeling motivated mentally this morning but my joints were pissed. I took a capsule and my joints feel better but I don’t want to workout anymore :joy:

1 box squats (briefs + sleeves)

Notes:

  • still very unsure about squats. Not a strength issue but the lift feels weird and harder than it should. I think the briefs are pulling me in a position my body doesn’t really want to go into when I squat like this (written after set 1)
  • set 2 was a lot better than the first. Set 3 was another improvement - way better bracing and pushing down onto the box. Set 4 similar to 3.
  • on video it also looks like my back is massively rounded.
  • was running out of time and had to cut rest times very short for the last three exercises

Before work:
16 laps in the pool. Which is probably like 20m, so nothing groundbreaking here, haha.

In the evening:

2 romanian deadlifts (was instructed to stop a few cm before ground)

1 x 2 @ 100 kg - settled for two
1 x 1 @ 100 kg - yep, that damn thing is totaled. Need a new one

Also btw. @Cyrrex I don’t know if you’re in my head or if ‘Bob’ is just the perfect name for non living objects that you have to fight, but when I approached the sandbag I thought “now to wrestle Bob”.

Tennis match was great yesterday. I managed to win the double with my buddy. That was the only match we won and everyone else on our team lost mile high but… baby steps :smiley:

Calling what I did here “pull ups” is probably an offense to some people. My chin is only very occasionally over the bar. Plus I’m super far away from the bar (probably due to the narrow grip).

Notes:

  • felt extra crap today (physically). Maybe bad sleep, but maybe I’m already feeling the lack of testosterone. Or just a wild mixture of things.
  • I am also starting to feel the withdrawal symptoms from the medicine reduction. Very unpleasent but the psych.-doc. assured me that even though this is rough, it’s not going to last. So basically all I have to do is pull through a few days/ weeks and ideally that’s it. It doesn’t have a big impact on my depression, which is probably not surprising since it didn’t do much on that front in the first place.
  • had an appointment with my physician today to discuss the endo’s letter. As expected I didn’t get much out of that. He also refused to write me a prescribtion for more Melatonin. Not a huge deal, all it will take is a call to my psychiatrist. Still the reason he refused to write one is very confusing: Off label use. The drug is only approved for short term treatment of insomnia in patients 55 years and older. That just adds to the confusion that you can literally buy the stuff without a prescribtion in the UK and US. One thing that was a little satisfying at least about today’s appointment was the fact that the doc admitted his wrong doing in regards to my hormon issues. He didn’t apologize but said he let himself be deflected by my appearance while totally forgetting the chemotherapy I went through.

Dude, pressing in a commercial gym is absurd. I get people coming up to me asking what I do. “I thought you were squatting it!!”
