Tennis match. Great showing in some hard weather conditions. I basically played my heart out and don’t remember ever playing that good before. I rightfully lost, my opponent was technically more advanced but he was a great guy who I don’t mind losing to. He said he hasn’t lost a single game in 2 seasons and today was by far his hardest game. Definitely no shaming for me there.

On another and more serious note, I received the long awaited letter from the endocrinologist today. In very short it basically said that both my testosterone and thyroid hormone levels are average by now. She recommended to pause prescribtions for testosterone gel and thyroid meds for 8 weeks and asses again.
@Voxel (tag for continuity on this topic, not for an answer).

These news hit me surprisingly hard. I was sad and disappointed. Not in their work or because I was looking forward to better trt options. I guess as much as I tried not to, I laid a lot of hope in this as an explanation and fix for my issues. Now I have it on paper that I was wrong …

Early morning training. Not used to that currently but I woke up super early anyway so I decided to lift before work. Felt fine.

1 deadlift
4 x 5 @ 160 kg

2 box jumps
5 x 3

3 incline bench press
4 x 8 @ 80 kg

4 leg curls
3 x 10

5 banded pull ups (overhand, shoulder width)
5 x 4

6 incline db row
3 x 12 @ 25 kg

Notes:

  • hinge pattern felt good today. 160 kg is actually the most I’ve deadlifted since I injured myself XY weeks ago. It feels absolutely fine but not effortless and I’m pretty nervous about where strength is actually at and how heavier weights might feel, especially around the 200 mark. I guess we’ll see once coach decides to up the weight.
  • I don’t know why but I really enjoy the box jumps :smiley:
  • incline bench felt very awkward. Bar path was all over the place and the shaky bench did not help it. I am probably going back to the one that I used last week. Went with a little closer grip in set 2. That helped make it feel more stable. Still was a bit of a struggle despite the weight not feeling heavy. I imagine my upper body muscles weren’t super recovered. Just now realized the angle was steeper as well.
  • got really hungry mid session. I am slow learner, it appears :smiley:

Sorry for the nudity, I’m having even more problems with sweating than usual (endo didn’t have an answer for that btw.). Kinda weird weather atm. In day to day stuff it’s annoying but ok. At work I feel a little self conscious about sweating through multiple t-shirts.
