I was told by a Chiropractor that the combination of the protein and creatine (~3g/day) I was consuming was potentially causing my hip problems, cue him snapping and cracking my back about 30 times and generally making me uncomfortable followed by treating my ‘tight IT Bands’ to cure the issue and and prescribing that I cut out the creatine for a while.
(he also told me fish oil was pointless)
All of which did nothing, 3 months later I discover I have a shit load of trigger points in my TFL that needed treating which he had completely missed and all it took was a £20 book off of amazon to work out.
Put me off ever going to a Chiro again.
Honestly, he was just a shitty chiro. I never had faith in them before I met BBB face to face.
This thread supports the exact reason why to everyone except the two people I lift with, when they ask “how’d you get bigger so fast” and “what do you take,” I just smile and say “chicken, broccoli, and water.”
Hopefully, by that point I have my gallon to my face to get the point across I want them to stop talking to me.
I get bad ingrown hairs/acne on vasodilators it seems. Such as Superdump, N.O.Emplode, and their creatine. When I went off, it went away…so you can blame the supps for that…

The acne bit could come from an overall diet high in fat too, not much you can do about it though.

My chiro compete’s in both powerlifting and strong man so he’s pretty up to date with most things. You just got the short end of the stick and shouldn’t lose all hope because of one idiot.

I used to have bacne - I dropped sugar, it got better significantly. Dropped gluten, got even better. Dropped milk, damn near clear. Started using salicylic acid/benzoyl peroxide bodywashes and its straight up clear now.
Also, megadosing with B5 (pantothenic acid) helps a lot too.

do any of you get it when if there is something medically wrong with you whether it be the common cold, sprain/strain, organ problems or whatever that normal general people blame it on your training and/or nutrition and supplementation?
whenever i have something wrong with me its always “that shit your taking” or its “see, all that training does you no good”
i have a problem with my liver lately, blood tests have come back abnormal so i am in the process of testing. My wife blamed it straight on protein powder (which i have 1 after training and sometimes as soon as i get up) when i think its too much protein and fat and my liver is congested. My dad said straight away, “its that powder” when the powder is probably the leanest form of protein i eat!
i know people are caring but when i feel i know more than these people and they are always quick to jump on things they know nothing about!!
Sorry just ranting
Stop with the self pity shit, you dirty fuck. Next time they say it is the powder, tell them it is your fucking huge cock, and its massive gravity field is ripping your organs out of place and the only way for it to stop is if they suck your dick.

Did she buy it or pay you back? If she didn’t you should do one of two things a: flush her cigarettes, junk food, and soda down the exact same toilet … or b: try hitting her.
In pretty much every facet of life your going to be criticized or catch flak for some of your decisions, the people that succeed and prosper, however, are the ones that remain unaffected by such commentary and carry on with confidence and passion.

and if you consume to much you could get creatine rage?
If this story is true, that doctor should lose his medical license. I don’t ask doctors to be up to date on the latest supplementation studies, but this is just basic body chemistry.
People at work give me shit for having spinach/broccoli and hamburger/chicken all the damn time. Some people just have to find something wrong with things that they don’t consider normal.
I thought I was alone in this. My ex used to give me the ‘you don’t need that shit’ line EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME I had a shake around her. As well, she’d give me shit for taking something as basic as ZMA.
Meanwhile, girl’s 50 pounds-ish overweight and smokes. Did I mention she’s my ex? Yeah. Thank jebus for that.
I get it from my mother as well, just in terms of her being concerned about what all this ‘stuff’ I’m taking is doing to me. Again, Mom’s entire family is overweight: her brother looks like he’s 13 months pregnant, with triplets. Whenever she and my da’ visit she’ll consistently bring me a bag of chips or the like from Costco, despite her being well aware I haven’t consumed anything like that in years. Its the thought that counts I guess; she’s never flushed anything workout-related.

I am certain it came from the supps. I never changed my diet and even then wasn’t eating high amounts of fat.

That is too bad. My chiro/ART treats many of the lifters in the province and is often at meets to sort us out between lifts.
