Then Benching! I have no idea how one goes about determing maxes, so I just kept adding weight until it wasn’t happening any more. Though I have no spotter so I went until I though it couldn’t happen anymore.

BB BP 65x5 (warm up?) 85x3 95x2 100x2 (Still excited!)

So thoughts while benching:
1 - I’m awesome
2 - I think I like to be about 3 inches in from the knurling on each side, it feels a lot like the pushups then and I get that elbow tuck to slight flare thing mentioned in 531
3 - I have a weird foot tapping habit when it gets difficult, not good, must learn about leg drive
4 - came up later, but I need to figure out where on me to bring the bar down to, will have to tape next time I bench to figure it out
5 - breathing, I like the whole inhale before lift off thing, definitely more stable, but I have trouble holding my breath for the whole lift, so exhaling 3/4 way through seems ideal

Then 10 min on the deathmill because I was running out of time. Just about a mile.

Kiddies got done with exam early, so I hit the gym again.

Normal warm up.
Then I wasn’t quite sure what to do specifically as a DL warm up, but I know the butt part is important so I went with KB swings and really thought about activating my ass and using the hip popping motion to keep the KB going. 30lb KB x 60 swings

Then I went to DL but every freaking bar was taken, so I just kinda stood there confused until someone walked away from his bar. He left 225 on the bar, so I looked at it with more confusion. While I was standing there, wondering if bro was coming back, some guy looked at me, looked at the bar and sarcastically said “That’s what you were planning on lifting anyway?” To which I replied “Yup, I just need to warm up first” He totally laughed and thought I was joking, but then I did! Which made the 225 even more awesome.

I went about it in the same way as benching, stuffs on the bar until no more.

DL 135x5 (warm up?) 185x3 205x3 225x1 (I tried for 2, didn’t happen)

Then some Inverted rows, just cause
BW 5x5
