Ok well you already know I’m not much of a shoe person, but you make those look pretty damn fine!
Congrats on triple digits! Hooray for numbers!
Maybe if I post enough shoes, one day I’ll be able to convert you?

Woo hoo! Sweet bench and DL!

Ha, I’d loved to have the seen the deadlift guy’s face. Way to show 'em!

Argh! Super jealous of the bench and deadlift! Must… catch… patch…

Congrats!

Triple digit bench and 225 DL! Those are huge milestones. Coming off a sicky spell too. Awesome!

awesome shoes
Prs like a boss

welcome to two big plates

wow a whole new log. sorry i’m so late to the party. i loled at ‘only bjj guys’, too. i’d still really love to learn, but don’t think i have the opportunity and fairly sure my toes wouldn’t be up to it even if i did… so i live it vicariously though you. i enjoy your descriptions of the classes a great deal.

i sorta kinda know what some of the moves are and it is cool to hear you describe what it is like to roll. i do my oly lifts with my eyes closed sometimes. feel more of a union with the bar. balance feels easier. wonder if that is similar to your experience of rolling with your eyes closed. but another persons weight instead of the bar. dunno. nice bench

Love the DL interaction with the bro

HMM, me thinks you have a natural knack for powerlifting.

I predict awesome strong lifting in your future young one…

Heelz…

That is all.

Great work, looking so super lean n mean w/ every new mirror pic

I love the guy’s reaction, like he knew you could pull it no problem! Awesome!

YES! now we’re talking my kind of shoes, LOVE those and you look smoking! I’ll have no doubt you turned heads.

OMG you got the head nod! THat’s HUGE! 225 is a huge milestone, and right out of the gates, you were made for this PL thing!

I usually do agile 8 then some bridging focusing on squeezing my ass first as a DL warm up…I think KB swings are a great choice too!

Ahahaha! You got the bro nod  Grats on the bench and DL numbers!!!

And OMG those were some hot looking legs in those heels

I’m with lula. I like doing Agile 8 before every workout mainly because it loosens me up and gets the blood flowing. I’m all warm by the time I even think it’s time to lift a bar. Bird dogs are a good glute activation warmup too

Well I suppose you did convert me to these baby animal pics, who knows what your powers can do again.
Patch2 wrote:

some guy looked at me, looked at the bar and sarcastically said “That’s what you were planning on lifting anyway?” To which I replied “Yup, I just need to warm up first” He totally laughed and thought I was joking, but then I did! Which made the 225 even more awesome.

Mofo Bamf action right here Peaches. Made me smile

I’m not working out this weekend. I’ll roll on Monday, but I’m playing on break. I did learn though that only the right wing are allowed to be snipers, lol. When you buy a scope from LaRue also included are:

2 bumper stickers
1 copy of the US constitution
1 bottle of dry rub (not pictured)
1 beverage opening device shaped like an armadillo
1 DVD of Sniper Competition Clips
and of course the scope

I thought it was funny. Oh, America I love you.

Thanks! I’m kinda worried about squat though, it’s not going to be up there.

Isn’t crushing false bravado the best!

Factoring in my weight (170lbs!) you’re probably already there. I’m not light so I’m not picking up light stuff.

Thanks, I’m glad I took the weekend to do nothing. I don’t think I would have hit them had I pushed all weekend.

I’m really liking the land of two big plates, I think I’ll stay a while. I’ll move on to three, but for now the land of two is making me happy.

I always play snipers in computer games. Even Skyrim, where I snipe with a bow. Sniping is cool. And I am a little envious of your right to bear arms, since we over here have no such rights.

Anyway, 170lbs? Didn’t realise you were that heavy. You look pretty damned good if I might say so. No wonder you are strong.

You could maybe roll in wrestling shoes? I don’t know much about them though, maybe Kev can pop in with advice on it? I’ve seen all kinds of people roll. We had a guy with no hands roll for a while, and I know a purple belt blind guy. I don’t think it’s inaccessible to anyone.

I think the closed eye feeling is probably similar, more connection. Sometimes seeing is too distracting from feeling for me.

From your mouth to… my muscles? Hmm, maybe you should come closer and motivate my muscles more directly…

I don’t think he thought I could, he was really sarcastic about it, but whatever, now he knows I can.

I LOVE a good fuck me heel. For me it’s flats or super high, none of this in between kitten crap. I just don’t get to wear them often. I posted these elsewhere, but almost got them. I didn’t need to add to the growing pile in my closet though, le sigh.

I’ll look up the agile 8 better. I know I do a lot of it, but there may be bits I forget.

Hmm, bird dog as glute? I thought is was all about back stabilization. Interesting, I can see it, but wouldn’t have thought that off the bat.
