ok, so i’ve been reading T-Nation and trying to eat better, and now i swear i cant stop farting. i don’t know if i’ve always done this and never noticed, but it sucks sitting through a lecture trying to hold it in every day.
hehe, so basically i’ve been trying to find foods that my stomach is good for- and cut a few things out, like milk and fast-food and mexican food. i thought that my stomach was just a little messed up after a 6 months of ramen and beer, but things havent gotten getting since i’ve cleaned up my eating.
the wierd thing is that i’ve found basic foods like steak or ground beef is also a problem. is there anything else that has worked for people? yeah i know its a natural thing but i think i’m having unnatural amounts.
any advice (hehe and yeah i expect to made fun off, whatever)
If you went from eating processed junk to whole foods your body is having to make a HUGE adjustment and actually learn to digest again build up the needed bacteria etc it didnt have to with the predigested processed crap food. This in turn creates gases. Give it some time it should pass try some beano etc.

Just like anything else in the bodybuilding world, it takes planning and effort to get through your day with optimal results.
For example, make a concerted effort to drop a few gas bombs while walking from class to class. This will relieve a lot of pressure and make it easier to sit through your classes.
Alternately, figure out the timing from a large fiber meal and a resultant gas attack. Then, presumably you’ll know which meals are okay to eat a lot of fiber at so that you’ll be able to unload in a less controlled environment.

Phill is probably correct. Any fundamental changes in diet (even healthy ones) can cause gastric upset and resultant symptoms. Try to space out your meals, eating less but more often. Eat yogurt or add probiotics. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption.
You may have to wait it out while your digestive system adapts, keep a book of matches handy (but don’t light one until the gas dissipates into a non-explosive concentration).
i agree with the probiotics. at first they seemed to make things worse but after dosing them for a few months i almost never fart anymore. seriously, i eat hard boiled eggs, beef jerky, pizza w/sausage, whatever. as long as it’s a clean, real food and not something processed, there’s nothing i eat that makes me fart. i do kind of miss it.
