Europeans definitely have an opinion about American politics. I just got back from Europe where I spent 3 weeks. I was in Paris when news of Obama’s victory was determined, and the French seemed more happy than I. Our markets and economy affects theirs, so of course they would care.
One thing I did notice is how people viewed me as being a snob for being from America. Yet people here think Europeans are snobs too. So there is an equalness to snobby thinking. Can we just call it pride for where we come from, no matter where on the planet that is?

If I was posting on a German bodybuilding website I would generally try and follow the cultural customs…get it now. And if I choose to insult someone it’s my business. Not that I agree with his comment anyway.

You save your lecture. The title of the forum is Politics and World Views. Not American Politics and World Views as seen through the eyes of an American. This is the internet, and the hosts of the website probably don’t need you to act as a watchdog for what is written. If they do, they can invite you to be a moderator.
Any criticism of American politics is not necessarily American bashing. I’ve seen plenty of criticism of the politics of other nations here. Politically, we stick our noses in all over the world. Why wouldn’t they be allowed a say.
