Palin Smear Job

LOL!

Honestly I don’t see what the big deal is. It’s a turkey farm. What do people think goes on at a turkey farm? Did I miss something?
I think you did lol

Palin commented after the interview that she didn’t know that turkeys were being slaughtered right behind her. That’s the point, she was clueless.

She’s conducting this interview after she pardoned a turkey, but apparently has no idea that on camera, a guy is strangling/breaking the neck of a turkey and then stuffing it right into the cone 6 feet behind her.

Mick, for a while the media could do nothing but focus on Reverend Wright… playing the clips over and over again. Headhunter was happy during this period…

The problem isn’t that the media didn’t focus on all the issues that it came across, but the issues that you’d prefer people to care about didn’t get any traction.

Sorry dude, sometimes it rolls that way.

Anyway, Palin was a magnet for media attention because she fucking well deserved it. There was no way she had any ability to step in as a competent president in the event that McCain were to suffer some type of issue.

This, after McCain made absolutely fucking clear that he’d go and find a candidate that would be ready to be prez on day one. Somehow, country first turned into win at any cost, and the media managed to keep hammering at the flaws and inconsistencies.

It’s appropriate.

Except for radical right wing bullshit, there was much less realistic material to focus on in terms of Obama. The “palling around with terrorists” bullshit was really just a pile of crap… and the fact the media reported it and it got no traction, for example, isn’t a fault of the media.

What I was hinting at above, which seems to be missed, is that the election was lost because the message coming from the repubs was a farce. Nobody could answer a question. The campaign spun all over the place. Palin was not qualified in the eyes of the vast majority. What in the fuck did anyone expect to happen with all that bullshit going on?

The job of the media is not to focus on whatever either party wants them to focus on.

I disagree. It looked like, to me, that the media purposely propped up all these weak arguments against Obama in an effort to make it look like he had no skeletons in his closet.

The Rev Wright thing wasn’t a very strong case on Obama, but the media ran with it. Ayers was a weak case on Obama, but the media ran with it. Even the Madrassa he went to. Weak arguments.

This makes Obama look good, because people will watch this stuff and think “Well, if THIS is all they have on Obama, then he MUST be a good guy”

Kind of like reverse psychology. It made it look as if Obama was the real underdog, with the racist, bigoted media and the nazi wing of the Republican party throwing anything they could find at Obama.

Makes it look like Obama’s campaign was an entirely uphill battle from day one. When pretty much everyone knows he had this thing sewed up a long time ago.

Palin was smeared. My guess it was orchestrated at some level by the Obama campaign.

The media isn’t clever enough to organize this on it’s own but certainly stupid enough to fall for the prank.

Nice of MSNBC to issue the retraction a week after the election. Wonder when they realized they had been had?

Journalism died during the 2008 election.

Palin is the epitome of what is wrong with our government, the most appalling was her wanting to ban books at the library. She was very good fodder for the Democratic media, but the Republican media did there share of misinformation

You’re doing your share right now. There’s plenty to find fault with in Palin’s management in Wasila and Alaska. But that book story really did not check out.

Does this mean you didn’t mind when they were cheerleading for Bush in 2000 and again in 2004?
Also, you didn’t mind when they swallowed his lies on WMD in Iraq hook, line and sinker.

No, that was perfectly ok.

Journalism died in 2008 allright.

Round man where you been? I missed your naive bigoted view of the world.

The media cheerleading for Bush…you are one dumb motherfucker. Swallowed lies. Certainly you know much about swallowing.

A piece of advice.

Insinuating that someone is a homosexual to insult him does not work very well on Europeans.

All they will do is politely ignore you and file you as a primitive idiot.

Maybe it is different in Albania, but they still have blood feuds.

Well if you care enough to insult them, you might just as well do it right.

The forum is based on the US and operated by a US company. European preferences on how they are insulted are not likely to be honmored.

I would be pleased to be ignored by several of the Europeans on this forum. As to caring how they “file” me…you have to be kidding.

I’ve been telling Mr. “The-Vice-President-Rules-America” Orion this for some time now but he must have old sauerkraut stuffed in his ears cuz he won’t listen.
Guys!

What is the point of insulting someone if it’s not an insult to them?

And really, insinuating that someone is gay as an insult is very lame. Totally 80’s.

Not in this case. Here he attempts once again to project his European snobbery westward across the Atlantic.
Yes, he is European; therefore, he is a snob.
