I felt a sharp pain in my hip while squatting a few months ago. I’m no expert on anatomy so I can’t really pinpoint the muscle (or tendon) that hurts. The pain is located just below the groin crease on the front of my leg (not on the inside like a usual pulled groin, but almost on the outside of leg at the bottom of my hip or the top of my thigh).
I am not sure if it is the very top of my thigh muscle that hurts or a secondary muscle located in that area. I get that sharp pain every time I try to squat or deadlift (which BLOWS!). I have tried taking a month off from squating and deadlifting and massaging that area but I still experience the pain. If anyone has had a problem like this and could recommend any solutions to fix it I would appreciate it. I want to get back to squatting and deadlifting!

Attach a picture mate highlighting the specific area.
You’re from Massachusetts. great MD’s in the Boston area in sports medicine. Call a doctoor at New England baptist and stop fooling around, get assessed and get back to hard training.
