Pain and Gain Movie

Yeah I liked it as well. It’s also amazing how many parts are literally true. (They really did take the chainsaw back with human hair stuck in it!)

Saw it last night with my woman! I loved it. She didn’t.

There are people who think a combination of 40 pounds of muscle and fat can’t be gained?

Go chug a gallon of water. BOOM, almost 9 pounds of LBM gained in less than 3 minutes

Could be a cool movie, but how do you think the roidz and the creatinezzz will come into it?

Just a huge media outlet to give body builders an even worse name. Unless The Rock turns into a hero at the end and Rock bottoms Walberg… man i should be a screen writer
It actually was very little of this.

Anyways, i saw it last night, and overall was disappointed. Michael Bay does a good job telling the story but i felt that the movie was kinda all over the place and just never really hit its stride. I couldnt tell what it wanted to be, and it certainly wasnt what i thought it would be.

The Rock is hands down the best part. His character is the most likable, his acting is the best, and hes a godam freak in it. When you see him next to Walberg, or anyone for that matter, he just looks massive. Helps that he’s 6’4.

If you like Dwayne Johnson or Mark Wahlberg a lot, id say go ahead and see it. But otherwise its nothing special.

in that pic, hes what 180, if he dieted down, hed be, 140lbs. lol. Why even bother dieting down, when your going to lose alot of size.
U really think Mark Wahlberg would way 140 dieted down? what is he, in high school?
+1. What is this sentence? Plucking 180 out of nowhere then plucking 140 out of nowhere too!? The “Why even bother dieting down?” was the giveaway though… pretty obvious post to get attention from someone who presumably follows bodybuilding.

Anyway, Michael Bay directing and Walhberg/Johnson should make for some easy to watch entertainment.

Most bodybuilders, cut down, cause of upcoming contests. If they never competed, i doubt they would ever cut down. I picked 180, cause he looks about 180 in that pic. and for him to compete in an actual contest, hed probably have to lose 30-40 lbs. there you have 140.
Oh shit the fat vampire is still around? NICE!

Still spewing retarded shit. Good to see not much has changed.

Look at the date of his post.

I think he’s still on sabbatical.
Damn, i didnt realize this thread was that old lol.

Sort of assumed it was pretty recent seeing as the movie just came out.

I likely wouldn’t have continued past the first reply had it not been for the jab at critics. I was on a sleep-deprived, semi-drunk ordeal through a 50+ hour continuous live stream I joined half way into, and I made it my business to respond with force in defense of a group I identify with personally.

I’ll probably not reach close to potential unless I’m violently drunk, of which I’ve long since given up, but I’ll try to keep up appearances as best I can.

Thank you for the kind words!

You don’t think he had any “help” prepping for that role?

What Hollywood actors nowadays dont jump on the bicycle to get in shape for certain roles?

I think there was some pretty noticeable water-retention there too, especially in his face.

Hey, well I could tell I struck a nerve. The truth does hurt after all.

I though the movie was bizarre. The violence was funny and lacking. Character development was great and I enjoyed most of the acting.

Pain and gain was based off of a fucked up story. And well the movie is just that.

I did like it.

I read an article a while back that talked about how prominent extra “help” was in the movie industry. I mean, why not? It’s not like the average person knows the difference between assisted and unassisted unless they are looking at top IFBB pros.

If you have the resources that these famous actors do, you can have doctors/trainers who know exactly what they are doing pinning you, monitoring your sides, blood tests, PCT…basically any reservations could be put to rest with those kind of resources, so yeah why not?

Thats a lot different than a 22 year old buying some shit from a dude at the gym, reading some forums and hoping for the best.

Any particular reason you’re being a dick?

Just curious.

This was my experience as well. It was so fucked up and just plain weird that it was compelling. There was nobody to root for though. I wanted everyone except Ed Harris and that smoking hot Russian chick to die in a fire.

I even disliked The Rock’s character, and that is damn near impossible for me.
