I judge ESTHETICS. I could care less what color they are. If you think Branch is on the same level as a small waisted Toney Freeman something is wrong with you… And only on this site would someone reduce that to “you rip on white guys”. The real question is if YOU will admit the difference between Freeman and Warren.

Maybe a good question that would be at least more related to BBing is if you really don’t care about race, do you think maybe Caucasian muscle/structure is different and doesn’t look as good?
I mean it has always seemed to be that black guys generally have a rounder chest shape. Most white guys just seem to have a flatter chest that can even seem to shrink in a front double bi. Maybe black guys even have longer muscle bellies.
I’ve also read a lot on physiological differences in muscle. Black guys and white guys tend to have different ratios of type 1 to type 2 muscle. Maybe that makes a difference?
It’s on honest question, why do you generally not like white BBers?
Maybe Paco is just white guy to the extreme.

Because it caused a discussion? Bodybuilders don’t win just based on body shape or esthetics alone so I am not sure why you posted last years Olympia results as if I didn’t watch the show. Branch is always in great conditioning which is one reason he places as high as he does, not because he has better shape overall than the other people on stage. In fact, this is the first time I have even had someone act as if Branch is as esthetic as someone like Freeman or Flex Wheeler…but you apparently don’t see things this way.
In your eyes, Flex Wheeler and Branch are interchangeable as far as esthetics…right?

Anyway when I look at pictures of Paco it freaks me out a bit… I think his sheer freakiness makes it hard to stay sensible when looking at him - maybe that contributes to him possibly not getting enough credit for leanness and size? There’s something about him that makes him look at once huge but also not as big as he should be, I’m not sure if I am making any sense here. I dunno, I think it’s good when threads like this are made about less well known or regarded people because it helps you get a fuller picture of bodybuilding - and also makes you realise how unique people who get to the top 3 in the O are in terms of everything.
