Packing List - 100% Travel

This maybe my last post for a while. I am considering taking a short term consulting assignment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) as Director for one of the teams that is traveling the country screening applicates for the screener positions. This job will have me in the 100% travel mode for five months to one year. I hope to be able to workout at the hotel gyms, swim and run to stay in shape. The days are suppose to be from 12 to 16 hours long. Any sugguestions on what supplements to pack? I most likely will try and follow meltdown, german composition train and others, but since I will be move at least every two weeks I will have to adjust my program to fit the gym I a in. Best of Luck.

Protein powders and MRPs would be my first pick, Grow! bars for sure with hours like that. I’d focus on “food” type supps first. I sleep poorly in hotels, so melatonin and ZMA would be on my personal list.

Good luck, I will miss your wisdom. Hope things work out for you. It will be a challenge but I’m sure you are up to it. Maybe you can invent a whole new training system. Travel Training? Variety is good so look at it as an opportunity to try different routines, equipment, and meet some people from all over. I always figure we can all learn something from everybody so when you post again you should know just about everything.I’d say to try and pack a good vitamin-mineral supplement for sure. Will you have to eat out all of your meals? Maybe take some protein or meal-replacements.Then you can at least get some nutrition. Good luck again.

Definitely Grow bars! And ear plugs - which I like to use while on the plane.

Older Lifter: if you're ever in Portland, let Ko and I know!

I would also second the MRP suggestion.

Vitamins, MRPs’, protein powder, and a shitload of books. Take this opportunity to train your mind as well as your body.

hey older lifter! I just had that job man! Well not the traveling one, I just worked at a local hotel running the tests as a temp. Great job. The guys in your position were lucky in our location to have a gym within the radius they were allowed to travel from the hotel.

Best of luck,
Adam Marshall

Definantly Mrp’s,Grow bars, and maybe some MD6 for a boost in the hotel gym or pool after a long day. Do you own any Power Blocks? These are great for on the road.

Good Luck with the new gig man - everyone’s made some good recommendations for you - I would include a few workout items - just in case a gym isnt handy, or you happen to get in late and can’t make it - an ab wheel (the one’s with the ‘double wheel’- a ‘door frame’ pull up bar, the kind you screw out into the frame - some push-up handles and a swiss ball - which you can of course deflate for the road. Now ideally, as mentioned before…power blocks would be ideal - I love mine, but they are spendy. So either some oly handles or a couple sets of light dumbells. The cool thing about all this stuff is that you can fit them on the floor of your car’s backseat, now if you’'ll be flying - some of this stuff will obviously work while others won’t. If you don’t have a laptop, I would also print out some of coach davies articles on GPP - awesome stuff! Good luck man…stay in touch with us.

Hey, get one of those doorgyms for a range of pull ups and chins. I also believe that there is a similar one of dips. You could then do EDT program with pull ups and dips! Fun

Thank you all. If I pass the final interview, I willbe deploying on Saturday, Septemeber 7th. I hope to be provided with a laptop to help me keep in-touch. If not I will bring my own. I will let you know how it turns out.
Best of Luck.
