I am wondering if anyone has heard of this program and the theory of “Muscle Confusion”? The program’s website is www.p90x.com and it claims to get your body ripped in 90 days…
Deep stinky BS

seen it on an infomercial. nothing that a good program on this site, solid nutrition, and some hard work can’t do. These people were noobs so it is no suprised they lost fat and gained muscle at the same time.
That’s what I thought just wanted to get some solid feedback for other members.
Jow Weider used to push “muscle confusion” back in the 80’s. It’s just changing the exercises so the person does not get bored and slack off. From a marketing perspective, always giving them something “new” keeps their attention. It should not be confused with periodization, which has an actual goal of performance enhancement or strenght/growth increases.
I have to respond to this thread… never heard of the program until my Captian at the firehouse brought it in… curious as I am … I decided to take home the ripped abs program for a try… I see some of you by your pics are into grappling and many of the ab exercises on the program are the same or similar to those I do in class… this program is very intense and a kick-ass workout…
I think as a fitness and fat-burning routine it is ideal… having programs on yoga… kenpo… cardio… plyometrics…ect. It certainly picks up where tae-bo left off … many of you guys could certainly benefit from at least some of the workouts included in the program… Tony Horton has done a good job and is a quality DVD
My sister bought the whole program and I’ve glanced thru it and did the Plyo dvd with her once. It seems pretty solid overall, changes up the cardio and resistance training, along with some stretching and yoga and stuff.
There’s some decent nutrition info, too if I remember right. Nothing new to T-Nation people, but seemed decent overall.
